If anyone compares this review with our other guest reviews, it will be clear that these claims do not reflect the actual condition of our property. The guests stayed for their entire reservation and, after completing their stay, requested a full refund over a minor issue. VRBO reviewed the situation and did not require us to issue a refund. We always take guest concerns seriously and do our best to address legitimate issues during a stay. Unfortunately, when the refund request was not approved, the guests chose to leave this review. We believe future guests should consider the overall pattern of reviews rather than relying on claims that are inconsistent with the many experiences shared by our other guests.

We respectfully disagree with the guest’s characterization of the stay. The condition of the property after checkout reflected damage that was not present prior to arrival, and much of the communication afterward appeared focused on disputing responsibility rather than addressing the issue directly. We documented the damage thoroughly and followed the proper process. After review, VRBO supported our claim and approved compensation for the damages incurred.

While minor maintenance issues can happen in any home, the claims made here are greatly exaggerated and do not reflect reality. Unfortunately, the property sustained significant damage during this stay, and we believe this review was written in response to being held accountable. Our long history of positive reviews speaks for itself, and we remain committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming home for every guest.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad your family enjoyed the spaciousness and layout for your holiday gathering. We want to respectfully clarify a few things. The driveway was cleared prior to your arrival, though light snow may have fallen overnight. The home's heating was fully functional and set to a comfortable temperature throughout your stay—we're surprised to hear it described as unusable, as we've never received this feedback before. The game room and basement spaces are always slightly cooler, which is normal for lower-level rooms, but certainly not to the extent described. Our furniture and game equipment are regularly maintained and were in good working order. We take pride in our home and wouldn't list it otherwise. We're sorry the stay didn't meet your expectations, but we do feel this review doesn't quite reflect the condition of the property. We wish you had contacted us during your stay so we could have addressed any real concerns. Glad your family still had a good time together.
