Excellent location for our first trip to Yosemite, easy access and good communication with the property manager, the Internet was not working (that is good to have fun family time)
Perfect Location for access to Yosemite and Bass Lake
The house was clean, comfortable and in a safe, residential area. The house is just off the main road, so it allowed easy access to get into Yosemite and to get to the Bass Lake area.
Great location…it was only about a 20 minute drive to the Yosemite NP entrance and only about a 5-7 minute drive into Oakhurst for supplies. Quiet neighborhood and the house was very nice. We would happily recommend it to others.
We loved this quiet cabin in the woods as our base for visiting Yosemite. We also explored Bass Lake and Coarsegold while there. Oakhurst is very close for food and groceries.
We enjoyed the location and cabin. It was perfect for our get a way to Yosemite National park - other than rolling my ankle on the bottom stone step ( but I am clumsy like that). Thank you for sharing it with us
Quaint, quiet, clean, easily findable property on the southern road to Yosemite. Great communication with the host! Close to town, but definitely not IN town. Deer & turkeys passed through during our stay... Would book again!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Very clean and orderly. Spacious parking and easy to get in and out of the parkinf. I wish there was a dish washer but not a big deal.
The cabin was the perfect retreat for our family of four while we explored Yosemite. While the National Park entrance is rather close (about 20-30 minutes), note it might take you longer to get to the trail head of your choice so plan accordingly.
Our kids loved the loft area. And the deck while a bit old from appearance made for the perfect way to end the day.
We were also close to Bass Lake and the restaurants in town.
We would absolutely stay again!

Thank you! We would love to host your group again!
Great location for family on 4 day trip into Yosemite. 25 minutes from south entrance. Another 55 minutes to Yosemite Valley. 5-7 minutes into Oakhurst for provisions. Bass Lake close also. We did breakfast and dinner at the Cabin each day. Grilled one night. Beds comfortable. AC worked. Clean towels and linens. We felt really good about the place.
We loved our experience at this property. It accommodated our family of six perfectly. When we arrived the property was extremely clean, and it had everything we could have needed. The communication was excellent and the owner called to check in on us the last day. The balcony faces west and provided good views of the sunset. We also had space to store our bikes. It’s a little over and hour from Yosemite village and only 20 minutes from Mariposa Grove of Sequoias. We would absolutely stay here again.
Was not impressed, a/c did not keep up with small house, ants, problems with the garbage disposal, and no internet for most of stay. Ended up getting a hotel instead.

Oh, what a delightful experience it must have been to have your home overrun by thirsty ants and your internet vaporized into thin air by the scorching heat! It sounds like the perfect recipe for a summer vacation, don't you think? I mean, who doesn't enjoy battling miniature invaders while sweating profusely in the absence of any online distraction? Clearly, you've stumbled upon the ultimate getaway destination, where Mother Nature herself orchestrates the most unforgettable experiences. Bravo, nature, bravo!
Hey, since you had such a blast with our 'Ants Gone Wild' and 'Internet Vanishing Act' package during the heat wave, we thought we'd extend a heartfelt invitation for a return visit in the winter! Picture this: snow-covered mountains, frozen internet cables, and maybe a bonus avalanche or two. It's like a winter wonderland, but with a twist! We promise you won't find a more thrilling vacation experience anywhere else. We can't wait!
My wife and I spent the weekend exploring Yosemite, and when we were done the “Red Door Cabin” was the temporary home we couldn’t wait to get back to. The location was perfect with short drives to the park, downtown Oakhurst, and Mariposa. The cabin had all we needed in a place to stay. It may not have come stocked with all the necessities, but that is not what we base our experience off of. The cabin was cozy and served its purpose. The host kept open communication and was available to answer questions and provided important and detailed formation. We’d definitely return in the future and would gladly recommend to others.
Cabin was clean and adequately set up for comfortable furnishing and dining. The surrounding property was unappealing as it was not kept up. The deck was very nice with comfortable furnishings. The stairs from the parking area could be challenging for anyone with weak legs. The biggest negative (only because day tempts were hot) was the inadequate cooling of the interior, especially the master bedroom. Upstairs bedrooms had adequate ac units. The downstairs had an evaporate cooler that kept the main area cool (albeit quite noisy), but could not keep the master bedroom cool. Overall, the cabin was comfortable with minor inconveniences.
Visited with my wife and brother. Overall nice little cabin. Full kitchen was a great cost-saver compared to eating out. Grocery stores were 5 mins away. Wish there was on-site laundry, but there was a laundromat in town with reasonable prices. Proximity to Yosemite was plenty adequate, but it was still around an hour and a half drive to the valley with all the main attractions, but unless you want to pay an arm and a leg to stay in one of the resorts inside the park the drive is worthwhile, and the proximity to Oakhurst makes up for it. Overall I'd stay here again if I end up back in the area.
