This was a nice clean house just far enough out of town to feel like you were in the country. The kids liked playing out in the yard and keeping track of the cows in the field next door. We enjoyed playing games on the deck and having room to spread out a little (as opposed to a hotel room).I gave accuracy of listing 4 stars only because the house we originally booked (pictured here) needed maintenance, and they had to move us to another house before we got there. This wasn't a huge deal for us we were just happy that they had another property available. Gina was helpful and made the switch painless for us.The only complaint I had was that the fridge was laud when running, I mentioned it to the staff and they were going to have maintenance look at it.We enjoyed our stay and happened to hit beautiful weather.
Four of us were going to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. The home was perfect! Cozy and clean in a very quiet area. Beautiful drive back to the house. We would recommend and stay again if we’re in the area!
We enjoyed staying at the Lakeside Lookout. It was quiet and comfortable after long days visiting the Ark, Creation Museum and Cincinnati Zoo. We had a nice view of the lake in March and enjoyed visits from the local deer. The only drawback was the higher than normal bathtub which might be difficult for people with mobility issues. Overall, our family enjoyed our visit
Its a deal. The tub height was an issue. And the touchy temps of the tub faucet. Ugh. Just move it the smallest amount and get burned. Needs adjustment. HVAC woke me up several times
lovely countryside home with most essentials for a family visiting nearby attractions such as the Ark Encounter. Some nitpicky repairs and cleaning could be done, but our main concerns were a high sloped tub which needed non slip decals and a faulty can opener. The upstairs beds were cloth covered springs, but thankfully with an extra blanket our children did fine. The host and team were responsive. Other suggestions would be black out curtains and allergen friendly soaps and detergents.
Enjoyed the property. It was perfect for 3 of us. Would definitely come back. Thankful for the private drive parking since the driveway is super steep!
The VRBO was good. Set in a very pretty setting. Plenty adequate room for 4 adults and 2 young children. It was very clean. However the sound of the furnace kept our daughter and son in law awake at night as it was above their heads in the bedroom. We turned the furnace off the 3rd night we were there. Also the tub entrance was too high for me to get in. People need to be aware of that. Host always communicated quickly with me. Very easy to work with. Overall the experience was great.
We loved the beautiful lake house and all the wildlife. Deer everyday. They even slept in the yard one night. So beautiful. Cleanest house we have ever rented. Would love a grab bar for tub. I am short and had a difficult time stepping into tub. It was a very high tub. We had everything we needed. Great host!
Two daughters and I came in for a Mother-Daughter event at Ark Encounter. We've stayed in the area multiple times, at hotels and other VRBO's, but this was by far our favorite! The location was quiet, but yet only 10-15 minutes from restaurants and shopping. The house was super cute and had everything we could have wanted! We hope to be back in December with the rest of the family!
It was a nice quiet area still very close to stores and restaurants. The property manager was very nice and responded quickly to emails. Would highly recommend
Great place. It was clean and quiet location. There were games and puzzles available. Beautiful wildlife around, a lot of deer in the area. Only negatives are the driveway os super steepand getting out was a little challenging, we spun some gravel a bit because of the incline. There was also an issue with the washer that made it unusable because a part was on order.
We loved looking out of windows at night and watching the deer and lightning bugs hanging around in the yard. Our kids loved the beds upstairs in the 2nd floor area, which was where the kids insisted on spending all their time when resting for the night. The property was as advertised and it was quaint and homey. We had a pleasant experience and would stay here again. All drives around the area were scenic as well.
Our plans included the Ark, Kings Island, Newport Aquarium, and Lexington. Absolutely perfect location.
Gina was wonderful, place was great, will be back!!!
Apologies for the lone chair outside…it had gotten soaked the night before and wanted to let it dry out. 😊
Nice cozy place down a long winding road. We had a comfortable wonderful relaxing stay at this place. We didn’t use all the available amenities with our days packed full of activities. It was a great place to end and start our days. Plenty of room for the family. Was like coming home, instead of checking in at a hotel. I caught my oldest sleep walking at night. She made it down the stairs from the bedroom above and through the doors to use the restroom and back to bed. The owner was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely come here again. Kids weren’t sure about me driving down the driveway, I probably wouldn’t recommend doing so without 4x4. There is a place to park near the stairs leading up to the road.
