Once our family’s land, this family property has been developed into a relaxing, rural retreat that has both vintage flair and modern amenities. This charming 5-acre property features expansive outdoor patios and wooden decks, outdoor kitchen and BBQ smoker, a two bedroom house and a one-bedroom pool house suite surrounding a tranquil pool and waterfall spa.

With native landscaping, old growth live oak trees, abundant wildlife including rabbits, deer, raccoons and more, the rustic charm of the setting will inspire you. The property, pool, hot tub and beautiful outdoor spaces makes a great retreat throughout the year!

Located just west of Buda, this property offers the amenities of Austin, the charm of Buda and the seclusion of 5 acres. To top it off, the host who lives in the back corner of the land, is available to address any concerns. If you need anything from dinner recommendations or property maintenance, Jeff will be do everything he can to accommodate your needs! Just ask.

First off very nice host who was good at communicating. However this place has seen better days. Listed as a “retreat” but I would recommend it as a “very rustic” hunting cabin for a couple of dudes. Pool is listed as heated year round but that is not the case and the hot tub was freezing as well. WiFi is not great and unusable for work. We were there for a wedding and could not find an ironing board or even a kitchen trash can (?). Place definitely needs a cleaning - vents caked with dust, dog food on the floor, mold on outside bedroom shower. Accidentally Dropped something under the bed and it was clear no one has cleaned there ever. I’m not that picky, but we traveled through hell to get to Texas and it would have been nice to relax in a decent place. Once again, Jeff seems like a very nice guy, but have to pass on the realities of this place especially for the price. At least it was warm and dry during the very cool weather.

Perfect Getaway

We stayed here for a long weekend as part of our Christmas break and to be close to my nieces wedding venue! We couldn’t have loved it more and wish we had stayed longer. We will be back soon!

Rustic farm house

We stayed in the Farm house. It is a unique stay! The house and bedrooms are spacious. It has a very large dining table - great for dinners and games. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We would definitely stay again.

I take great pride in being responsive to my guests needs. Since I live on the back portion of the land, I am often readily available. If you need something, let me know. I may not be able to solve every problem, but I will do my very best to make your vacation as enjoyable as possible. If you need dinner, shopping, recreational or any other type recommendations I am happy to share my thoughts.

Why they chose this property

I grew up on acreage in a rural area south of Austin. I am blessed that we have kept this property in the family for decades. As Austin has grown, this rural community has become a thriving suburban area, with easy access to many attractions and conveniences that we could only dream of 40 years ago!

What makes this property unique

This property, located in Buda, Texas, offers the best of all worlds. While Buda continues to grow it maintains the small town charm. We have developed the historic downtown area with shopping and restaurants. We also work to preserve unique festivals that give the town a strong sense of community. Get your Christmas gifts at BudaFest or see if you pup has the chops to win the Buda Wiener Dog Races! But this property offers more than small town charm. As Austin continues to grow, more and more attractions and entertainment opportunities become easily accessible from the property. And to top it off you will be on 5 acres!
