Boulder Town hillside perch in Escalante National Monument
Sunny, open-plan, small modern home at the edge of Boulder Town, literally minutes from world-class hiking, outdoor adventures, and creative/mindful pursuits. Nestled into a hillside, this quiet, restful space intended for couples or individuals, provides elevated views of the surrounding mesas and Boulder creek.
After a day of exploring the incredible landscape and features of the Escalante Grand Staircase, Capitol Reef, or any of the myriad nearby attractions, fall asleep with a blanket of silent stars overhead and cool breezes from your large windows. On a chill Fall evening, cozy up to the wood-burning glass front stove or head out to enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets this planet has to offer.
The house grounds are beautifully surrounded by meandering flagstone walkways and patios among juniper and low piñon trees, creating a sense of privacy while inviting sweeping vistas of the area. This home is recently completed with continuing improvements to the property at large.
The property is well-situated off highway 12 at the edge of lovely Boulder Town, providing quick access to its amenities, including a couple of excellent restaurants, the wonderful Anasazi State Park and Museum, and very basic grocery/fuel needs.
Please note, the terrain is rough and the driveway is narrow and steep, with a tight-circumference loop at the top of the drive. Motor homes, vehicles with trailers, and some oversized vehicles will need to make alternate parking arrangements.
Additionally, please be advised the owner may periodically stay on the lower adjacent section of the property, which maintains a separate driveway, camper, and shed -- in a location well below the house, a moderate distance away. It is screened from house and patio views. If on-property, please know that your complete privacy and tranquility are of utmost importance, and will be maintained at all times!

Fantastic place! It was so cute, very clean, had every amenity (right down to ziploc bags!), and was the perfect location for our hiking trip! The host did a great job communicating and giving detailed directions and property information. We would definitely stay here again!
Perfect place to use as a base on a 4 day hiking based stay. It is our kind of place and perfect for a couple. The owner was very responsive, kind and helpful. The place itself is very comfortable and peaceful.
The house was extremely clean and well cared for. We were able to cook our meals and eat on the patio. The host responded to our questions promptly and was very helpful. We will stay here again !

I liked everything about this property- the house was comfortable, decorated really nice and tasteful, lots of windows, amazing views, and a relaxing location.
Very well done, welcoming, restful, comfortable space in a stunning setting. Phots as very accurate and informative about actual conditions. Everything we needed as a base for exploring AND a respite for relaxing and resetting on many levels.Took the time to understand the town and services offered and planned accordingly with great success. Quite a special base for delving into Escalante Staircase, Capital Reef, and Bryce areas.Host is great manager/provider.
We had a wonderful time in Boulder. The location is amazing located in close proximity to 4 National Parks. The house is comfortable and peaceful with everything you need.
This beautiful small house had everything we needed, wonderful outdoor space, comfortable interior. Great location for hiking, and several good restaurants in the area.
Beautiful, small home with giant views of picturesque valley outside Boulder, Utah. Comfortable, well appointed, and a great place to kick back or make home base.
The house was absolutely perfect. It was so cute and little, had everything that we needed. Beautiful location I will 100% be renting this home again in the future.

Jason, thank you so much for your enthusiastic response. I'm really so pleased and heart-warmed that you enjoyed my place as I do! Love to have you back.
This home was perfect as a base camp for our hiking family vacation. The home was very well appointed and very comfortable. Loved the bed, and the pullout couch was very comfortable as well. We loved the outdoor space to hang out after our day. Neighborhood very quiet and dark for star gazing at night.
We enjoyed our stay so much. We loved the hummingbirds, the view, the critters in the evening, the stars. What a wunderful place! We cooked ourselves and everything needed was available.

About the host
Hosted by Sarah Langwell
I'm a lover of the southwest, spending most of my time in both Utah and New Mexico. I have a passion for exploring our wild deserts, canyons, mountains and rivers. I especially enjoy hosting others who share that same love; really enjoy sharing my home and these beautiful places!
Please be advised, I may occasionally need to be on the lower peripheral section of the property, which maintains a separate driveway and shed, distant and screened from house and patio views. If so, your privacy and peace is of utmost importance and will be maintained at all times!
