AWESOME loc'n by Operahouse, charming Apartment, Lux on budget

Great apartment at an AWESOME, FANTASTIC location. The apartment is centrally located in the 6th District in Pest surrounded by high end exclusive shopping area, theatres, restaurants, pubs, restaurants, clubs on the 3rd floor of a historical building. THIS IS THE BEST LOCATION in Pest, there are many many city center aprtmts, BUT the 6th district is the best!! So stay with us and you will have a wonderful time!

Recently renovated, the apartment is fully equipped including washing machine in the bathroom, dishwasher in the kitchen, free superfast wifi + AIR CONDITIONER (must in a summer which most aprtmts do not have in BP). Modern furnishings, flat LCD tv. The apartment overlooks the courtyard, therefore it's extremely quiet. You will have lots of lights as the apartment also has skylights. The apartment is situated at the heart of Budapest, in the central district on a very quite street, yet you are within 1 minute of all the action Budapest has to offer.

It's only 1 minute from the famous Opera House, and Andrassy Street. All tourist attractions are within walking distance( Great Synagoge, Basilica, House of Terrors, several museum, Castle) . It is also very close to boutiques, shops, party area - bars, ruin pubs. There is a supermarket on the corner of our street. Bus, metro, streetcars, trams are all within 1 minute walking distance. Restaurants, bars are only 2 minutes walking distance. Thousands of things to do, restaurants, surrounded by upscale shopping, cultural life, and rich history, steps to all theatres, and nightlife. Located in a very safe neighborhood.
Good fit for pairs, and for those who want to stay in 2 separate bedrooms, but we can accommodate up to 5 people.

I can also send you recommendations, what to do, see, where to eat, the great restaurants around us, so you will not fall for the 'tourist traps'.


Surroundings
The apartment is centrally located and is very close to ALL attractions Budapest has to offer. Several museums, restaurants, bars are within walking distance. Supermarkets, malls (Western City Centre) by the Train station are conveniently located. Margit Island is 3 stations away on the streetcar. On the island you will find great communal pools, and other sporting facilities. For kids zoo, amusement parks, circus are all conveniently located.

If you are interested in Budapest's rich historical past you can visit museums, the castle, and parliament. By the ferry on the Danube you can visit the beautiful, charming Hungarian towns located nearby such as Szentendre, Visegrad. You can even take the ferry to Vienna. You should also visit one of the world renowned Hungarian Artesian Baths (Szechenyi, Gellert, Rudas) and spas. We can also recommend you great Hungarian or other types of restaurants.

Nice stay !

Very clean! Excelent position. People friendly. One of the bedroom without much space. Washing machine doesn't suite in the bathroom, not enough space. In rest very good!

Spacious, pleasant apartment in great location

The good: Excellent location, comfortable with A/C, plenty of space and full kitchen, generally in excellent condition. Owner responds quickly to email and accommodated early check-in request. Less good: light in one bedroom does not work. Shower head has too large holes for the water flow. Note: 91 steps up the apartment and there is no elevator. Had a great stay, thanks!

The property was in an excellent location in Budapest. Couple of things to be aware of: it is on the fourth floor of winding stairs, so be aware what you pack you have to carry up those stairs. There is a key you have to pick up so if you make a check in time, keep it, as the key opens the door and gives you access to the key code downstairs. There is a washer, but no dryer which is fine, but plan your clothes accordingly as open air drying time is longer. There is an excellent shop called the lions locker across the alley that you can store luggage if you arrive early or leave after check in time. They also have great breakfast and the owner has a great sense of fun. The apartment is excellent and the owner is very easy to work with - very helpful.

Well situated and close to public transportation.

The apartment was located next to the opera house on the 4th floor. No elevator. Evreything was as shown in the description. No major surprises and the location allowed us to walk everywhere in Budapest. Only problem was with the key to the apartment. We were given only one set on arrival and unfortunatly the key to the apartment was not a perfect replica and it took as long as 5 minutes to get it to open the door. I would recommend that the owner provide 2 sets and should ensure that the key works properly. Other than this I would have recommended 5 stars.

Booked this apartment for my boyfriend’s birthday and it didn’t disappoint! Apartment was clean and spacious with enough storage for our needs. This apartment is on the top floor with 91 steps to get to it so not for anyone with mobility issues but was fine for us! Only downside for us was the bottom of the shower curtain was grubby and slightly mouldy apart from that everything was to our needs! Thankyou Timea! :)

Great Place to Get Around City

This location was great as it was very short walk to subway station. It is close to the bar district and easy to get in and out of. Only downside is you have to use the single key to leave and enter, so if you have a two or three person group, you must leave and come back at the same time. Not really an issue for the owner, just a general observation. Overall, was a great place to stay for a few nights in Budapest.

Great Apartment in Budapest

We stayed in this apartment during our vacation to Budapest and we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean and spacious with two bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and I was able to enjoy coffee each morning. The location was perfect. We were very close to the Metro, the main train station and the bus stops. There was a great variety of shops and restaurants within close proximity to the apt. There was also a great bakery and market within walking distance. We were on the top floor of the apartment building which means we had to walk up the stairs but it gave us a good workout. Even though we were two blocks away from the main street, it was very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to family and friends.

Nos alojamos tres noches en el apartamento y lo encontramos acogedor, limpio y disponía de muchos utensilios de cocina. Se encontraba en una zona céntrica rodeada de servicios, sobretodo restaurantes y bares. Aún así el apartamento era muy silencioso, y durante la noche mantenía el calor del día. ¡Lo recomendamos!

Only two bath towels in the entire apartment (no face. hand or kitchen towels). The bath mat didn't seem clean. If you have a rental car, this is NOT the place to stay. Also, this is a fourth story walkup.

Great location

Cute apartment and clean. Quiet neighborhood and building. This is great feature as the main streets can get very busy and noisy at night. Just a few suggestions. Would be nice to have a full length mirror, some bathroom hooks and instruction on how to work the tv. Shower is a bit leaky but nothing too troublesome. This is a very simple comfortable flat with small bedrooms, AC and great kitchen and washing machine (didn’t use it). It is a 3 floor walk up and has a nice terrace. Owner and/or manager was very responsive and met us on time. I would recommend.

Location is EXCELLENT

If location is what you are seeking, this is the place. It is near many restaurants. There is a grocery store at the end of the street. 10 minutes and you are at the Budapest eye. You are also right down the street from Andrassy ut.

Great to place to stay in the center of Budapest!

Very much liked staying at this property. Great location...we came to Budapest for a family wedding and the location was close by to all the places we needed to be including St. Stephen's Basilica, Budapest Sky, Prestige Hotel, Andrassi Ave and the Opera House. Found good walking areas, places to eat and a park for our 9 year old twins girls to play steps away from the property. The property itself was fine for our needs. Our girls had fun counting the number of steps up to the apartment...remember to turn on the staircase lights in the evening. Timea, the property manager, was especially helpful in responding quickly to all of our questions and arranged for transportation to and from the Budapest airport...with a very early departure from the property when we were leaving Hungary. Zsaslo met us at the property and could not have been more helpful!

Great Location and Great Customer Service!

Apartment is located within a 3 minute walk from the Budapest Opera House, a short walk to Saint Stephen's Bascillica and even within walking distance to several thermal baths, Margaret Island and Buda Castle District. The apartment has two bedrooms, air conditioning, high ceilings and sky lights all making it feel spacious, bright and comfortable. The building is well secured and the steps to the four floor were not a problem as others had indicated. One great recommendation from the owner was to store our luggage across the street at Lion's Locker prior to check-in. They have great Budapest breakfast and can even order taxi to airport. Only problem we encountered was that apartment was not ready upon arrival at check-in time. However, Timea (owner), even from distance, was able to rectify the situation to have cleaners come and towels delivered. We would definitely consider returning to this spacious apartment on our next visit to Budapest!

We loved the apartment its location is perfect. Literally 30seconds walk to the Operahouse. Very quiet, calm, clean and well maintained. The description / photos are accurate as per listing. Actually it looks much better, it has high ceilings, so seems more spacious. We found everything we needed, very well stocked kitchen in terms of dishes/plates/utensils, small appliances. They have everything, washer, hairdryer etc. Host is very responsive, and friendly, and provided answers quickly. We really had a good time here, and we will return ! For this price it really is a steal. I would highly recommend

Perfect location but apartment not on high standard

Very good location close to Opera Metro station and tram lines. Cafés, bars, restaurants and a small supermarket in close walking distance. Apartment is fully equipped but not on high/western standard. Pictures look better than the real feeling is. We stayed with 4 people but the second "bed" was a sleeping couch. People with walking difficulties might have difficulties as you have to climb many stairs to get to the third floor. Our contact person was very friendly, replied quickly and provided many helpful recommendations in advance to the arrival. All in all a recommendation for people who like to go out a lot and mostly use the apartment to stay at night.

Perfekte Lage mitten in der Stadt, dennoch sehr sehr ruhig, da zu einem abgeschlossenen Innenhof in einem ruhigen Wohnhaus gelegen. An die Sicherungsmechanismen der Wohnung muss man sich gewöhnen. Es hat gewisse Ähnlichkeit mit "Fort Knox" ;-) Wohnung gut ausgestattet, gemütlich, hell und geräumig. Alles da, was man brauchte. Die verfügbaren Handtücher waren vergilbt mit Stockflecken - hier empfiehlt es sich, eigene mitzubringen. Wir haben sie gewaschen, dank Waschmaschine. Die Sauberkeit generell ließ etwas zu wünschen übrig, war aber noch innerhalb unserer persönlichen Toleranz. Lage am Rande des jüdischen Viertels optimal. Wir haben alles zu Fuss gemacht. Wer diese Wohnung mietet, muss sich an das Treppensteigen gewöhnen.

Plenty of room to accommodate 3 guests for 5 nights. Great location in a secure building and nice neighborhood. Easy access to restaurants, bars and attractions. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodations in a popular neighborhood on a budget.

The most perfect way to experience Budapest!

I recommend this wonderful apartment to anyone visiting Budapest for the first time. You couldn’t ask for a better location, so close to everything you would want to see in 4 days. The apartment itself is so perfect and fully equipped as if it were a home away from home. Supermarket nearby, loads of restaurants, bars, shops etc. Coming back here is the best way to end a full (exhausting) day of sightseeing. The owners were fantastic and even organised for us to be picked up from the airport at nearly midnight!! It’s clearly stated in the overview that the apartment is on the top floor and there is no elevator, but even the steps are not daunting...and it’s a great way to keep fit! Loved every moment of being in Budapest but this lovely apartment was like the icing on the Dobos torte!!

As two active senior ladies we enjoyed our stay at the apartment near the Opera House in Budapest. The owner was very helpful (from a distance). The apt was clean and well-equipped. A bonus to have a washer. A lot of stairs to get to the apt but if we can do it, you can do it. Close to buses. N & M

Location, location, location!

This was a great experience. The location is perfect! It's so close to all transit and within walking distance to almost all tourist places we wanted to see like the synagogue, parliament, chain bridge, churches, palaces, and many other historical places. The food in the area is amazing and we tried something different every night. We honestly couldn't ask for a better location. The apartment is in a very safe area of town. The owner, Timea, kept in contact with me via text to make sure we got to the location ok and had what we needed. She gave us advice on what bus to take from the airport. We only bought a bus pass and that was enough. There was no need for a subway pass since we walked almost everywhere. The apartment was very spacious and I've already told my friend about it that will be visiting Budapest. The apartment is very clean and has all the necessities even a washer. I liked the fact that Timea owns her place and it's not owned by a corporation. I would stay at Timea's place again and would recommend it to anyone.

Lived and worked in Pest for a long time. My brother and I purchased this apartment and we loved living here. But I got a great career opportunity and moved to New York a few years ago. My brother still lives in Hungary, and he manages the place. He also moved due to his growing family but we kept this small apartment due to mostly sentimental reasons. We only have this 1 apartment that we rent out, therefore you are gonna be hosted by owners, we don't deal with any real agents. Great location, great neighborhood, great people around the area.

Why they chose this property

This apartment was our primary home until a few years ago. My brother and I loved this apartment but he decided to move into a bigger apartment and I have moved to US.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is located in the middle of Pest, so you're close to all the action, yet it's extremely quiet, because it's facing the courtyard, as opposed to the street, although the street is nice and quiet. Also, it is located on the top floor of a historic building, and it has unique ceiling windows, in addition to the regular windows, as such the apartment is very sunny, it gets a lot of light. All my guests and we love this unique feature.
