The house was nice. The pool is right in front of the house which my kids enjoyed. We liked the short distance walk to the beach. Overall the house was nice and comfortable.

Beautiful Property with Great location

This property was beautiful and well decorated. The location was close to the beach and within a few feet of a swimming pool. It was perfect for a family with kids or teens.

Great location

This house was a in a great location next to the pool and a short walk from the beach. It was also clean, with a few small exceptions like the trundle bed sheets that fortunately we didn't need. Our biggest complaint was that the house wasn't stocked well. There were no dish towels and only four hand towels/wash cloths (for 7 people). There was no food storage containers and very few cups. There were tons of extra pillows but no pillow cases, and there were no fire extinguishers in the places labeled as such. Regarding fire safety... the hardware on the exterior doors needs maintenance as they are rusty and difficult to open/lock. That being said, we worked around the issues and had a great stay.

Couldn't find the property because the address doesn't exist and no street sign telling you where to go. We called customer service and they explained how to get there like we lived in Port Aransas not that we had never been there, just ridiculous. Had to buy everything upon arrival. Only one garbage bag provided, no dishwasher soap, no shampoo, no conditioner, no soap, no coffee, terrible towels and only a few of them, no beach towels, terrible sheets, no pack in play. Front door never locked, corroded back door that didn't unlock. Awful experience all around.

Kona Cove Stay

We loved the house and check in was easy and convenient and everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. In general, we loved our stay. Here are a few issues we discovered. The house was not as clean as it could be upon arrival. There was a significant amount of hair on the floor and one of the beds had dried up pasta in it, so we had to wash those sheets upon arrival. The ceiling also leaked from the 3rd floor throughout our stay. There were only 4 towels total for 8 people across 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. We came to the office to get more. Everyone was very friendly there and easy to work with. There was a lot of rain and I think I located where the leak was occurring. There is missing flashing at the windows just to the left off of the second floor living room balcony. A lot of water is able to penetrate in that spot and leak into the living room. We put down pots and they filled with several inches of water several times. In addition, it would be great if salt/pepper/sugar/oil/coffee were provided as sort of a minimum. I killed numerous roaches in the house during our stay, maybe 6 or 7, so it seems like it could use some treatment as well. Thank you for hosting us. We had a great time. It would be amazing if there was a grill on the back porch to use, even a charcoal one. The ones by the pool were unusable because they were uncovered and had no lid and exposed to the rain so we couldn't start the charcoal.

Too Many Issues

We loved the house and did have a great time in Port A. However, we had several issues with the house. The first night a breaker shut off on the wall with the tv and internet so we had neither for the remainder of the night. The maintenance man, Donnie, said we would have to wait til morning. So we did. Not pleasant when the children had neither. The breaker box was in the garage which we did not have access to. For the next three days the breaker continued to shut off until Noah came and took care of it. Then on the second day there was water leaking out of the bathroom fan downstairs. A maintenance guy came and said it was the air conditioner and he fixed it. However it continued to leak the remainder of our time there. This needs to be addressed before it gets worse. In addition, the golf cart was extremely slow ( we got stuck several times} and it was in less than ideal condition, being repaired with duck tape. It was exchanged but we had to take time out of our day to drive down and exchange it ourselves. Also, online, the house showed an elevator which I was looking forward to as I have health issues and am on oxygen so stairs are difficult to maneuver. And finally, the upstairs room was so terribly hot no one could sleep up there and could only be there a short time. It was not comfortable. We come to the beach every year and prices keep getting higher and higher. For me to feel like we got our moneys worth I feel like we shouldn't have had these issues. Everything should have been in tip top shape, but it wasn't. These are the reasons I only scored three stars.

CLP08-Kona Cove

House Keeping needs to do a better job cleaning. Hamburger was left in down stairs closet with roaches on it (been there for some time). Very strong fish smell coming from kitchen sink and dishwasher was full of dishes it was not unloaded. Bed comforters have stains on them especially downstairs king bedroom. Oven and microwave would not turn on.

Family Fun in the Sun

The Home was stunning, clean, perfect size, and close to the beach. All we had to do was show up, unpack, jump on golf cart and go. Silversands is so easy to use for a vacation home. This is the 2nd time we have used them and will definitely use the next time. I highly recommend silversands for your next vacation.

We stopped in Sunday afternoon to silver sands office to sign some papers and check in etc. We rented a condo that came with a golf cart. We did not have a vehicle and the golf cart was our means of transportation. The lady at front desk told me the cart would be at the condo ready to go. I had borrowed a courtesy car from the airport to get my three kids and wife to the condo then I returned it to airport and wife was going to pick me up in the golf cart. Short story its condo had no golf cart waiting for us. Silver sands closed shorty after we had left. Called emergency number and only one to talk to was a maintenance guy. Silver sands had NOBODY that we could talk to to help us out. We couldn’t get food delivered so we needed a car to get me back from airport and to get family some food and supplies. Ended up renting a jeep from family owned operation for $250 for the night. They brought it to me at airport. Next day went to Silver sands and the lady said it should of been there, so we went to the silver sands golf cart rental and they messed up and didn’t leave one but they said the lady should of told me at check in I had to get a key from them either way for the cart (they are rite next to each other) regardless it was a complete mess and they dropped the ball. Didn’t offer to pay for my jeep or give us a discount of any. Won’t be using them again! Trey at the golf cart rental was going to talk to owners or the silver sands management and see if they would cover jeep rental. Never heard a word from them. Avoid silver sands. The people were nice but sure don’t know customer service.

Mother - Son Weekend

This is a beautiful house and conveniently located close to the beach. We had friends staying at Cinnamon Shores as well, so it was great to be next door to them. The kids and moms enjoyed the pool. One night we couldn’t get our code for entry into the house to work and maintenance came quickly and fixed the code. Couple things to note, the 3rd floor, although it was air conditioned it was quite a bit warmer than the rest of the house so no one wanted to use the pull out sofa bed up there (if we had a fan it would probably be alright) and the house doesn’t have any glasses, only coffee mugs - not a big deal, but we ended up going out and getting solo cups. Just note there is a house under construction across from the pool, but the noise really wasn’t that bad and they usually were working when we were at the beach. Overall I would definitely rent this house again.

Great house, poor management

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated. The location is reasonably close to the beach. The pool is absolutely spectacular, wonderful for kids, and nearly private - we had it to ourselves for an entire week. We actually loved the pool so much we only went to the beach once. Cons: Management left something to be desired. They forgot to send us the code to access the house. After calling twice to obtain the access code, they gave us the wrong one, which meant that we had to contact the after-hours emergency line. The Wi-Fi was out during the entire week-long stay; we reported it immediately, and were assured that it would be taken care of, but no one showed up. The A/C on the main floor (living and master bedroom) struggled to keep up, and both ceiling fans on that floor were broken, which meant that the living area, kitchen, and master bedroom were perpetually hot. Management mentioned ordering new fans, but nothing was done during our stay. The original description mentions a TV in the third floor living area, and I called in advance to ensure it was there, since it's not shown in the pictures. I was assured that it had been installed during recent renovations...but there is no TV - just two arm chairs and a tiny table, rendering the upstairs useless. (And besides, it's too hot up there to utilize that space anyway.) The door knobs are rusting off, barely turn, and send cascades of rust everywhere when used. The patio furniture is so rusted that it's collapsing; there are only three usable plastic chairs on one balcony - the other three porches/balconies are essentially unfurnished. Lastly, the place would be greatly improved by additional stocking. We had to purchase pots/pans, a colander, etc. to cook basic meals. There are also no cleaning supplies and no vacuum, which seems crazy in a beach house. This property could be nearly perfect if management put a little effort into maintenance, upkeep, and customer service.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Used this home for a girls trip, it nicely accommodated 8 adult females. The inside of the home was very clean but the outside was not. The outside doorknobs were extremely rusted and the outdoor furniture was rusty and dirty. The walk to the beach was a bit far, so we wound up driving instead.
