Casa Vista (The Travertine) has the finest finishes to ensure your comfort.

Casa Vista is a 5 Star home 250 feet above the beach with extraordinary views of the coast in Dana Point. There are three five star resorts including the Ritz Carlton within walking distance. The patio and living room face the ocean with fabulous whitewater and coastal views. We are one of just six exclusive vacation rentals with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean in Dana Point. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to look at other available dates.

The large 200 foot ocean facing patio leads into the great room with an open kitchen and dining room - all with ocean views. Casa Vista has two bedrooms, each with king beds and two full baths. The unit has its own washer and dryer to make doing laundry easy.
The unit is located on the ground floor (no steps) and has its own garage space. This makes it especially easy to come into the unit if you are carrying suitcases or shopping bags. The unit is handicap accessible and is completely furnished with everything you need for a fabulous vacation. This unit can be combined with our other downstairs unit VRBO 1090224 giving guests the option of having more space with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.

The large patio overlooking the ocean is a great place for a private barbecue and dinner on a summer night.

The units overlook Strands Beach in the Headlands- just 1/4 mile south of the famed Ritz Carlton Hotel and Salt Creek Beach Park, and are located adjacent to the path to the beach on top of the bluff. It is very quiet, peaceful and safe. It is truly one of the most unforgettable spots you will ever find. The condos are furnished impeccably by the artist/owner and have everything you could need for a vacation.

A 10 minute walk will take you into town where you will find many wonderful restaurants, cafes and shops. Dana Point Harbor is about 1.5 miles away and makes for a longer walk or short drive for lunch or for coffee.

We have a fourplex ( I live in one of the units) with identical units of approximately 1,000 square ft facing the ocean. Sometimes our guests want to extend their stays and we try to accommodate them and have to move other guests to one of the sister units. Rest assured they are all exceptional with extraordinary views of the ocean and rent for the same amount. You will be happy in any of them.

We really enjoyed our week at the condo. The view is fantastic and the weather was excellent. The beach below the condo is great and you can see whales spouting from the deck once you know what to look for. Would definitely go back- clean and easy access to pacific coast highway. Short drives to Laguna and HUntington beaches as well as Newport.

Small accommodations with an amazing view.

Lots of rules about parking your car. Garage was really small and not convenient for parking. I did not feel that it was a dog friendly place, although was advertised as. I was always walking on egg shells with the owner. Barbecue was not working correctly and had issues off and on with the WiFi.

There are four parking spots on the property. The two downstairs units have an average size garage and visitors can also park a second car directly outside the garage. The downstairs units have private patios that can accomodate dogs. The entrance to the patios do not serve as a dog run as I encourage guests to take dogs to the front of the house where there are trees. There is a new barbecue. Our WiFi is broadband and fast.

An amazing get away!

This property is the best location, in my opinion. We decided to skip the rental car and there were no lack of places to visit by foot or trolley. The view is absolutely breathtaking and being up higher set the tone for feeling more secluded. This was definitely a great vacation to both recharge and explore! The host was very friendly and welcoming. A+ :)

Wonderful Views

Our family stayed here over spring break and had a wonderful time. It is located in a nice quiet area. The views are beautiful (especially the sunset) and the walk to the beach was well worth it. We woke every morning to the sound of the ocean and ran the beach before breakfast. The unit slept our family of five comfortably. (Three kids ages 14,12,and 9) Would definitely recommend.

Excellent time at this lovely condo

My husband and I recently stayed at this condo for a week. It was in a wonderful location and had the most amazing ocean views. We loved sitting out on the balcony watching the sunrise and sunsets. The condo was very clean, the beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for our stay. Jill is an excellent host and is very responsive. I would highly recommend.

I am sorry that these guests only gave a four star review. The “minor issues” were 1. A toaster that didn’t work very well, 2. Outside patio cushions that were dirty When I heard about the toaster I ordered a new one on Amazon and it arrived that day. The patio cushions got soiled from a storm and were promptly replaced. I am disappointed we only received 4 starts.

The biggest positive is the incredible location overlooking the Pacific with incredible whitewater and coastal views. Stunning ocean view

This property was literally on an ocean cliff with unobstructed views of seashore bluffs and sunset views. The view was stunning. The property had a nice oceanside deck. The condo was well equipped and quiet. It was very close to the entrance of a protected land reserve, with walking paths. Jill always answered our questions. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful seaside escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Dana Point and this property truly delivered. The view was spectacular and home was as described. Jill was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to respect our privacy and deliver a quality place to stay. Due to an initial mix-up to which unit was available during our available time, she made an accommodation to share her parking space to make it easy for our two cars - truly a great host. The location in Dana Point is central to everything and the walking access to Strands Beach and the Conservation area was a bonus. Would highly recommend and would stay there again!

Great View and Location!

Throughly enjoyed our stay at Jill's ocean view condo. From the deck we could see beautiful water and beach views, and at night there was a city light view. The kitchen was great for cooking dinner, well stocked and great light. If you don't want to cook there are many good restaurants less than 5 minutes away. We also enjoyed the walking paths practically right outside the door. The condo was clean with very comfortable beds (and I am picky.). The shower had good water pressure and bathrooms had plenty of towels,shampoo, etc . The decor was nice with great art work. We can't wait for our next visit!

What a view, literally a $20 million views!

We were able to prepare a full Christmas dinner. Well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. Trails immediately out the front door. The beach directly below via a nice trail and steps system. Chalking distance to bars and restaurants. I would doubt any other property in this price range would have such a view. Garage but don’t bring a giant SUV like we did. Easy on street parking if so even though we could fit in driveway. Secure!

Location, Location, Relaxation

Wonderful stay, view and experience right on the ocean. In a period of a lot of uncertainty, this was an excellent place to stay for six weeks. The owner, Jill, was very communicative and helpful. She gave us some guidance about local establishments food quality and outdoor seating, which we were very interested in during a surge in the pandemic. The location was perfect for daytime and nighttime walks on the beach. The beach didn’t have much of a boardwalk, but the terrain, especially at lower tide times made for some wonderful walks. The nearby area of Dana Point, San Clemente and Laguna Niguel had everything one needs from groceries, to fine eateries/bakeries, and places to shop. Property is very high on our list for a return visit. Would highly recommend.

Cool view, good location, but . . .

View and location are good, however other factors mar the experience; garage is full of furniture, Internet intermittent and weak, and next door residential construction begins before 7 am, and owners dogs (upstairs apartment) bark whenever she's away. Our holiday was particularly effected by owners onsite construction (noise and inconvenience), and investation of ants ( we declined pesticide because of our dog), and a number of issues which were fixable once we complained. If you choose this property, do your homework, ask for current photos, and be clear about your expectations and priorities.

The view is spectacular, not good. Some people are just very hard to please. We had had hundreds of renters in the past 6 years in our four units. Most of the reviews are 5 star, with an occasional 4 star. This review was obviously written by a very unhappy person, who is not easily pleased. We try very hard to provide the best holiday for our guests. Unfortunately this was not possible this time, the first in 6 years! The internet works fine for those on ATT. I believe those with Sprint may find it weaker in the front of the house but on the kitchen table it works well. The construction of an outside patio in my unit is now finished. With regard to ants unfortunately these renters chose not to have the unit treated professionally after they left dirty dishes in the sink and on the counters in the kitchen. We have the units treated professionally on the perimeter 4 times a year and the interiors treated on an as needed basis. My maids have been cleaning for me for 10 years and spend 4-5 hours per unit before each guest arrives and the units are impeccable. We pride ourselves on having clean, and well maintained units. With regard to dogs, miy two small poodles are kept upstairs and no one has ever complained about them before. We are a dog friendly building and there are occasional times when dogs do bark. I hope that we can continue to have guests who appreciate the beauty of our location and the opportunity to stay in this wonderful place. We enjoy having guests who can share this with us. Jill

My brother and I purchased this property in 1990. Bob was out running and found it and fell in love with the location. He told me about it and I also fell in love with the VIEW. Since then, we renovated the units and rent two of them out. I love the property so much I moved there. Both Bob and I are in the medical profession. We love the tranquility and beauty surrounding our Dana Strands home. They are only a five minute walk to Starbucks, restaurants and cafes. They are furnished lovingly and contain original artwork. They are truly a jewel.

Why they chose this property

My brother and I were mesmerized with the VIEW from the property as it is simply SPECTACULAR. It is undoubtably one of the most striking views you will ever see. The entire property was completely renovated recently. We are located in The Headlands adjacent to the new multimillion dollar development The Strand which has some of the most expensive beachfront properties in Orange county (California). Our property is located on the edge of the bluff in the Strand overlooking the ocean. It is the most ideal location as it is the signature property when you drive into the area. You will love it. There is also a funicular that goes down to the beach which is only a couple of minutes walk from the property.

This condo has a spectacular view of the coast. You can also watch dolphins play in the surf and watch SUNSETS from the patio. The path to the beach is adjacent to the property. Outside the door there are about 2 miles of ocean view paths in the nearby reserve where you can hike. The property is a 10 minute walk to the Ritz Carlton and St Regis Hotels. The Ritz Carlton has the same view as ours and the St. Regis is located about one half mile from the ocean and does not compare. The condo is a FIVE STAR lodging and has everything you need to make your visit truly remarkable.
