While the studio is 600 sq ft, it seems much larger because of the 12’ ceilings. Everything is high end from the 75” mounted on a swivel tv, the electric fireplace, the new kitchenette includes a full sized refrigerator, a microwave, toaster oven, a coffee maker, bottled water dispenser, a double burner hot plate and an electric griddle. There is a full sized washer, dryer and large BBQ located on the patio.

Great little spot!

We loved staying at the surf ghetto. It is located in a great area. Clean and included everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Space

Loved the space. Marc was immediately responsive to a small hiccups caused by us. Easy check in and out. We were able to grill and cook some meals. Cleaning was in to check everyday. Washer and dryer were fabulous….all supplies were included to wash and dry. We will be regulars here. Thanks Marc!

I am a native Californian, recently retired with an empty nest that I use as a short term rental to supplement my meager Social Security. I live most of the year in my former vacation, now retirement home in the mountains above Lake Chapala in Jalisco, Mexico. I return to California a couple of times a year to visit my children, friends and favorite restaurants. I enjoy exploring Mexico, riding my E-bikes, skin diving and deep sea fishing.

Why they chose this property

After growing up on the beaches of North San Diego County I was obviously spoiled rotten climate wise, loved being in the ocean and at the beach. However that area became very crowded, expensive, lots of traffic and no place to park. I had a friend that built and lived in the house two lots south of this one that told me that the lot my house is located on was for sale in 2001. I bought it, built my house in 2007. Raised my kids in it, they moved out, I got divorced and decided that I didn’t need a big house anymore, built my studio and lived in it until I retired, decided to move to Mexico.
The Surf Ghetto is an awesome neighborhood, close to the beach but not full of a bunch of snooty rich people like most of the beach communities in Southern California. Most of the people are laidback, friendly and welcoming in my experiences.

What makes this property unique

An awesome location, quality construction and furnishings and a very good housekeeper that makes sure that it is very clean for each and every guest. And I am always available to be reached by phone 24/7 at 760-715-2952.
