This historic home offers all of the amenities one could hope for while staying an extended period of time. Located in the quieter, residential area of the Downtown Historic District, you are surrounded by tree-line views.

Situated on East Taylor Street, this charming abode built in 1862 has been tastefully restored, and is the perfect Savannah hideaway. Entering into the main floor of the home, you'll be greeted by impressive tall ceilings, original hardwood flooring that gleam with tons of character, and large windows that flood the gathering room with natural light. The furnishings and artwork tie this space together, adding to the historic charm of this town-home. Right off of this space, you'll find the large kitchen and dining space, where you'll have everything needed to prepare a home-cooked meal for your friends or family.

On the second floor, you'll find two quaint and cozy bedrooms, both fitted with a Queen size beds, and an ample amount of closet space. The bathroom atop of the stairs offers a large vanity, and a bathtub/shower combination.

Heading up-to the third floor, you will find the lofted bedroom, that is fitted with two queen beds, perfect for friends or family that visit. This floor offers two closets; Guests will love having plenty of storage, including a dresser, to un-pack their belongings in their new home away from home!

Just out back, you will find the private deck, and a large patio space. Enjoy the evenings sipping a glass of wine, or a morning cup of joe on the back porch! Just on the opposite side of the fence, you will find a private parking space designated to your home.

Just a short walking distance to the heart of downtown, this property is ideal for travelers looking to stay in a tree-lined, quieter residential part of town without sacrificing convenience. Head West and dine at some of the city's best restaurants, like 700 Drayton, Fox & Fig, and Hitch. Due North toward River Street, guests can shop til they drop inside various local retailers, like The Paris Market & Brocante, 24e, and shopSCAD to name a few. Guests are about a 15-20 minute walk to the River front, 10-15 to City Market, and a quick 8 minute walk to Forsyth Park.

This home offers one private parking space. All other parking is on-street, non-metered on East Taylor Street. We encourage all guests to pay close attention to street signs, as they state when the street cleaners come.

Enjoyed our stay

The place was cute and cozy, perfect size for our friend group of 8. It's a bit of a longer walk to get to everything (everything is within a 30 min walk), but still a great location to everything in the area including a drive over to Tybee. We also had no issues with parking on the street!

Girl’s Weekend

This was our first time to Savannah and the people at Lucky Savannah were so hospitable. The free luggage hold and drinks were so appreciated. We also loved how clean this property was and how close to everything it was. In the 4 days we stayed we did not once have to get a taxi. We were able to walk everywhere and sitting on the back porch listening to birds while drinking coffee was Heaven! We would definitely rent again!! Thank you for such a calm peaceful environment!!

We liked the house very much, even though the five family members were girls and shared the bathroom. We worked together by scheduling our shower times! We had a great time, busy every day! We ate our meals out! We never had the time to go to the market… the time just flew by! We had a lot of fun.

Fantastic Location!

We went to Savannah for a bachelorette weekend, and this was perfect for us. Everywhere was a walkable distance or a quick / cheap Uber ride. Great neighborhood, easy parking. Loved the screened back porch and the courtyard. There’s only one full bath upstairs and a small half bathroom downstairs though. But we made do because we all showered at different times. We all really enjoyed our stay!

A Nice Savannah Vacation

There was plenty of parking on the street plus the spot in back. The main floor had a comfortable living room where we would relax and play games. The screen porch was a great place to sit and chat. Our only issue was the handrail going up the stairs is too tight to the wall on the top 3 steps, which made it difficult for my elderly mother to get up the last few steps to the bedrooms. Otherwise it was a good place to stay and convenient to the north east area near Forsyth Park.

Quiet Residential Neighborhood in Historic Savannah

We loved this VRBO rental in Savannah! The neighborhood was well maintained and quiet, but easy walking distance to many of the beautiful squares and landmarks in Historic Savannah! It is a renovated historic property with the original brick fireplaces in every room. We especially loved the cozy back porch with the aroma of flowers from the courtyard. The beds were comfortable and the towels were soft. The kitchen was well-stocked. And having non-metered street parking and a driveway to park in was a plus in the city! We appreciated Lucky Savannah’s recommendations for restaurants. Loved Hitch, Crystal Beer Parlor, and don’t miss Clary’s for brunch! We loved walking around this beautiful city by day and by night. The Prohibition Museum was fun as was the Walking Ghost Tour. The Mercer-Williams House Tour was fascinating! See you next time, Savannah!

A lovely three bedroom house for a "girl's" weekend in Savannah

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I spent three nights at the Taylor Hideaway in Savannah with my sister and two adult daughters. The house had plenty of room both indoors and outdoors. We enjoyed coffee and local pastries for breakfast on the screened porch. It was located on a quiet street with plenty of street parking so we did not use the assigned parking space on the alley. The location was perfect for exploring Savannah on foot and we never had problems calling Uber drivers. The house dates back to the 19th century and had tall ceilings and original wood floors, but has an updated kitchen, good lighting and AC, and large screen TV's which we never had time to turn on. The management company always provided prompt answers to our questions. Best of all, they stored our luggage at the Lucky Savannah office after we checked out of our rental so we didn't have to drag our suitcases around our last afternoon of sightseeing before our early evening flights home. We all agreed that a return trip to Savannah would be nice and we would rent the Taylor Hideaway again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect for us. Far enough from the downtown and Riverwalk area to be quiet but close enough for walks to dinner. House was clean and well stocked. Loved that they included sugar and creamer with the coffee and filters, that was a huge plus! However, there was no salt/pepper/oil which would have been nice to have. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We had a couple of questions for the management company, and they responded right away. Few things to note: this is an old house so if mobility is an issue, this is not the house for you. The stairs are steep and a bit wonky, definitely need to be careful going down. As mentioned in the description, there is only one full bath upstairs with a shower but a toilet downstairs which helps when there are 4 people in the house. The keyless entry was great and loved that they allowed dogs. A/C worked great and there are fans in every room and I loved the enclosed porch! The reason I am not giving it a 5 star review is the weird placement of the camera on the porch. I understand the need to monitor the property and see why there would be one on the front door and possibly on the back yard to see who comes and goes. However, there is a camera on the door from the kitchen to the enclosed porch. Felt we were being watched the entire time we were there. Not a happy feeling! Overall, we loved the house but if the camera remains where it is, we would not rent again.

Some people like flat pillows but fluffy ones are also a nice option. Great location and easy access to the Hop On Hop Off trolley.
