This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home in the heart of Movie Colony East has all of the historic charm with upgraded modern amenities. Enjoy a large sparkling swimming pool in the private gated back yard along with the tranquil ambiance of a water feature. The home has a large driveway with plenty of street parking available as needed. Open the split door to enjoy the desert breeze and take in the beautiful mountain views from the front of the home. The kitchen is fully stocked with essentials to make your stay enjoyable. The modern furnishings and custom Spanish decor make this home a unique find in the Palm Springs area. Each bedroom has room darkening shades as well as a comfortable queen bed. The common bathroom separates the bedrooms and includes a tub shower. There is a washer and dryer as well as an outdoor BBQ grill, prefect for extended stays!

spanish style cottage with oasis backyard

We stayed a month at this delightful house. We loved our stay. The house was clean. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The kitchen very well stocked with everything. Lots of towels for shower and pool. The pool area was beautiful and had spaces for sun and shade. It has landscaping with desert plants and two big palm trees. The location was perfect for walking and close to town and grocery. It is an older home and well maintained. We are planning on returning next year.

This 1939 bungalow reminds me of my grandmother’s house, if she had put in central air, a backyard pool, and had a mature cactus garden. If you’re looking for 21st-century construction with top-of-the-line appliances and bathroom fixtures, this place is not for you, but it suited me. Charming, funky, and comfortable. It is exactly as pictured.The kitchen has plenty of knives and a ton of gadgets. Basic appliances like grandma would buy, but they work just fine. Bathroom fixtures are older, but everything does what it’s supposed to. Managers Nino and Allie are super responsive via VRBO messaging. I also booked their cleaners every other week because they are wonderful, but the house has plenty of cleaning supplies if you’d rather DIY. So to summarize: the house is charming; the managers are very responsive; the location is great. But it is very much a house of its time with a few quirks that didn’t bother me, but some might call dealbreakers.
