Loved everything about this stay! The owner was very responsive, the house was beautiful, the details of everything were fantastic, even down to the little soaps provided! Will definitely stay again!
Minor mixups with the property, but good communication with the owner resulted in a different location, which turned out to be just fine for a weekend stay!

An adorable home with plenty of room. Important to keep the bedroom at a comfortable temperature when cold outside. Need to run the fan and cover the vent or it is too warm. It worked perfectly!!
Communication and check in were great. Very comfortable beds. Be aware that this is a historic house and some of the floors aren't perfectly level. Not a big deal except when you swing out of bed in the morning and discover yourself slightly off balance. Also, it should be noted that the one TV in the house is very small. Overall, though, a very good stay.

Just to clarify, we do not offer TV. What you saw/used was a computer monitor on our desk for people to work from or to stream Hulu, Roku, etc.
Thanks

Why they chose this property
Our home is in a historic area and has been rehabbed to honor its history. Built in 1909, it has had many lives including an IWU sorority house. The home features custom woodworking throughout, custom tile work, original art work, original photography, antiques, and historical letters from The White House. Our yard is completely organic. The front porch is a charming place to hang out and bird watch. The backyard/ deck is great for bird watching as well as squirrel, woodchuck and opossum watching. We have owls, hawks, woodpeckers, cardinals and finches. We love and respect our wildlife, we hope you will do the same. The back deck is great for grilling and sitting by a fire at night. *We are now offering handmade soap from a local artisan, The Wright Soapery, out of Urbana IL. They are so beautiful and fragrant made with the best ingredients. Please use during your stay and take the remainder home.
