What a lovely historic home! I was meeting up with a friend from downstate in Bloomington and this was the perfect backdrop for us to unwind together. The neighborhood is charming, with a small park very close. Quiet yet close to amenities and campus. Each bedroom was spacious and well-appointed. Larger upstairs bathroom was newly updated, and the powder room downstairs was small but serviceable. We particularly enjoyed the cozy "secret room" upstairs, just right for two best friends to stay up late chatting. All the basics were available in the kitchen and we prepared two meals together easily. We didn't get to spend much time in the backyard since it stormed during our visit (we didn't have to hide out in the basement but when tornado sirens went off it was nice to know that was an option). But there's a small fire pit and the yard was very cute. Keyless entry was easy, host was responsive. I'd consider this house again in a heartbeat next time I'm in Bloomington.

Very nice house! Great location to IWU or ISU events! Lots of room to hang out and relax. We enjoyed the large table to eat and play games! Nice living room for all -and game room! Maybe a few more chairs to bring to living room would be nice! Would definitely recommend.

Nice atay

Only downsides of the stay were the street in front of the property is rough, but to be expected since it was old brickwork, and the bed being way too soft (but that may be your taste).
