Great rental, but parking and fire pit issues

First, Chris and family have put together a truly wonderful property to rent We rented both duplexes and found all the room we needed for our large family. Thoughtfully set up and Chris is a superb host. The downside is that Capistrano Beach hoes have restricted parking which makes it difficult to mange when there are those who come for a few days. While Chris has 5 spaces available, we often had communication problems with the guards on who could park inside or who was a drop-off. For example, I called the guard gate to let in an uber and was told that wasn't allowed so I went out to my car to pick up the guest. Just as I pulled out, the Uber came up and dropped off the guest. Chris does a heck of a job trying to keep on top of any changes in overnight guests, but it is left to the guards to properly update their records. Allowing day guest to come in the gate used to be allowed. Also, while a fire pit is provided, we received a visit from security one night because a neighbor had complained of smoke. We were told that we had to put our already small fire out. The security guard gave me a copy of the city ordinance that states that fires must be 30 feet from structures, but the fire pit is placed at the property less than 30 feet away and would be impossible to have 30 ft away. Really loved the place and hope that the parking/fire stuff can be rectified.
