This is a great place to stay and explore Charleston. It has been upgraded and is beautiful and convenient to downtown. Definitely will recommend this home to friends and family.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this amazing property. Not only is this home amazing, but so are the neighbors and the neighborhood! Highly recommend!!
The host of this property is great, very helpful and responsive! This house was perfect for our family and we loved the proximity to the citadel, we were there for the game. I was able to cook for our tailgate, wash my cadets laundry and walk to the game and open barracks. Will absolutely stay here again if it’s available.
We had a great time staying at there since it’s in downtown Charleston and close to the park and restaurants close by. Everything is new and super comfy! We are looking forward to come back in the future.
Gorgeous place in a great location. Quiet neighborhood near a lovely park with walking trails and great neighborhood restaurants in walking distance. Great host - very responsive. Can’t wait to come back.
This house is on a quiet street and is truly in east walking distance to the Citadel. Three nice bedrooms, great living/dining area too. Check in and out was super easy. We would highly recommend this home.
We came for a girls trip and we LOVED this house. It was perfectly located, clean, charming, and had everything we could ask for. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint, with the charm of Charleston - but not in the hustle and bustle of downtown.
We also really enjoyed having Harold's Cabin (restaurant/bar) right around the corner.
Highly recommend!
The host was extremely helpful with any questions asked. The house was very clean, laid out with ample space. Kitchen was great! We would recommend that s house to all of our family and friends.Thank you Stephen!
This place was as cute and comfortable as described on vrbo site and reviews. Its a little far from things but we had a car and really appreciated the on site, private parking space a the streets are very narrow. We felt the price was also very fair. If you're older, as we are, the couch is a little low to get up and down.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The sofa was large and comfortable enough for an adult to sleep on. The home was updated and decorated nicely. There was plenty of room for 6 people. The street was quiet and safe. There was a nice "visitors parking" spot on the property. The owner responded quickly and went out of his way to accommodate our request. We would stay here again.
Clean property. Excellent communication with property owner.
The house is well designed, contemporary furnishings were comfortable, airy and bright spaces. We really enjoyed it and would rent it again!
Great property and location, especially if you need to be close to the Citadel. We had issues with the internet that wasn’t resolved until after our stay. There were no paper towels or trash bags so you may want to come with those. Parking is a nightmare, very narrow opening on a one way street.
This house was wonderful. it was very clean, and beautifully appointed. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. I highly recommend!! things to note - the house is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. It is a 15 - 20 minute walk to the bus stop. There were only couple of cafes within short walking distance and we didn't see any shops. The kitchen has a Keurig coffee maker which we were not able to get to make a decent cup of coffee. Other than that - all good!
Perfect place to stay for our girls trip. So quiet and private — perfect for us.
Only a few suggestions, might be nice to have some 3M hooks behind the doors to hang robes or bathing suits. Would have bee nice in the guest/shared bathroom to have a 3 shelf tower to hold bath items vs trying to squeeze them on the small Shelf on window ceil. Fridge and all appliances in perfect condition! Appreciated the coffee machine being stocked- what a luxury one cup is!

Dear Shaye,
Thank you so much for your valuable feedback and the great review! Your ideas are great so we decided to add both of them! We are giving our best to offer one of the best experiences in a central and historic house in Charleston! Safe travels and your are welcome back at any time :-)
We had a great stay at this location in Charleston! David met us on our arrival. There is a parking spot in the lot which worked well for us. If your vehicle is on the large side it might be tight but there is steeet parking as well. Home was just as we had anticipated. Location is an easy 2 mile walk into historic downtown. The home is open floor plan and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you’d need to cook. Nice coffee machine on the counter for use and a French press in the cabinets. Beds were comfortable. We had a great dinner at a restaurant very close called Berkeley’s for dinner. Overall we loved our stay here and would love to come back!! You’ll love it too!
What a neat renovated property! It has really cool features and a modern design. The space was perfect for our family with 2 teens. The house was very clean, many items were stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms and we liked having the washer and dryer available. There is a designated parking area off the street, but the driveway was very narrow and took some maneuverability to navigate which is understandable for the historic area. I just appreciate that we had parking off the street. We loved walking to Hampton Park and looking at the beautiful surrounding homes! Other favorite sites included the USS Yorktown, City Market/King Street, a sunset cruise and sampling yummy bbq and seafood! So many restaurants and sites to see that we’ll need to plan another trip! Thank you!
We (3 women of a "certain age") spent 4 nights at David's VRBO in Charleston's West Edge neighborhood in April 2024. The home was very clean & comfortable, with a new washer & dryer (and a Loquat tree!).
David is a wonderful host. A lovely guy and very responsive. He provided some great suggestions, and even called some restaurants to see if they were still serving soft shell crabs (the season is short).
A parking space is on the premises but is a bit tight (although we got used to it almost right away). Better for a smaller or medium sized vehicle.
The location is proximal to the historic area, etc. Since we read that parking is sometimes hard to come by in town, we took Lyfts to some of the sites. (We did see the "hop on hop off" trolleys all around. We didn't use, but they looked very convenient.)
All in all, a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend.
