About this property

2 cabins-22 guests-2 hot tubs-Lake Access-Glamping

Welcome to a truly unique group getaway in the heart of Twain Harte—where two beautiful, completely private cabins come together to create one expansive mountain retreat for your entire group.

Cozy Bear and Enchanted Pines sit right next to each other and are connected by two convenient pathways, allowing your group to move easily between the properties and enjoy them as though they were one large mountain estate. You get the space, privacy, and amenities of two individual cabins without splitting your group across town.

Together, the cabins accommodate up to 22 guests with plenty of room to gather, celebrate, relax, and still have space to spread out. Better yet, **each cabin has its own private hot tub—perfect for unwinding beneath the trees after a day exploring Twain Harte, swimming at Pinecrest Lake, hiking the Sierra, skiing in the winter, or spending an unforgettable day in Yosemite.

From May through October, weather permitting, Enchanted Pines also features a seasonal backyard glamping tent, adding another memorable mountain experience to your stay.

Have an even larger group?

We collaborate with a beautiful 4-bedroom, 2-bath cabin on the same street, just a 3-minute walk away, allowing groups of up to 30 guests to stay within easy walking distance of one another.

This makes our location especially well suited for family reunions, weddings, retreats, milestone birthdays, celebrations of life, and other special gatherings. We`ve had the privilege of hosting groups coming together for some of life`s most meaningful occasions.

Your stay can be so much more than a beautiful place to sleep. Let us help you turn your mountain getaway into an experience designed around your group.

Enjoy a private chef-prepared dinner, brunch, breakfast, or mountain BBQ, or let us connect you with local yoga instructors, hiking guides, and massage therapists to create memorable experiences without having to coordinate everything yourself.

We can even take care of the details before you arrive. Send us your grocery list and we can shop for you and have the fridge stocked and ready, so your vacation begins the moment you walk through the door.

Celebrating something special? Whether it`s a birthday, anniversary, engagement, reunion, or other milestone, let us know and we can help decorate the cabins and create a memorable welcome for your group.

Imagine arriving to a fully stocked cabin, waking up to yoga beneath the pines, spending the afternoon exploring the mountains, enjoying a massage afterward, and finishing the evening with a private chef-prepared dinner and a soak in the hot tub under the stars.

You bring the people who matter most. We`ll help make the experience unforgettable.

Why this property is so special

Large groups visiting Twain Harte typically face a compromise: book two or three unrelated cabins scattered around the area, coordinate transportation between them, decide which cabin is large enough for everyone to gather at night, and then figure out how everyone gets back afterward.

Here, you don`t have to.

Your group can stay together while still enjoying the comfort and privacy of separate cabins. Walk between Cozy Bear and Enchanted Pines in moments. Gather for dinner, soak in either of the two hot tubs, let different generations or families have their own space, and end the evening without anyone needing to get into a car.

It`s an exceptionally rare setup in Twain Harte and one that was made for bringing people together.

Two cabins. Two hot tubs. One incredible mountain retreat.

Come settle in beneath the pines, slow down, reconnect, and create the kind of memories that become part of your family`s story.
Welcome to Your Mountain Getaway
We take great pride in providing a comfortable, well-cared-for space where you, your family, and friends can relax, reconnect, and enjoy the mountains.
We truly enjoy welcoming thoughtful and respectful guests, and we want you to feel at home throughout your stay. These cabins require a great deal of care and attention, so we simply ask that you treat the property with the same consideration you would your own home.
The guidelines below help us keep the cabins clean, safe, comfortable, and ready for every group that visits. Thank you in advance for helping us take care of this special place.

CLEANLINESS, TRASH & DISHES

We do not charge a separate cleaning fee, which helps keep the overall cost of your stay lower. In return, we ask that guests leave the cabins reasonably tidy and avoid leaving unusually large messes for our housekeeping team.
Before departure, please:
• Place dirty dishes in the dishwasher or wash them rather than leaving sinks and countertops full of dishes.
• Wipe up large spills on counters and floors.
• Keep meals and food primarily in the kitchen and dining areas rather than bedrooms.
• Place trash in the designated bins located at the bottom of each driveway.
• Avoid leaving loose trash, food, or bags of garbage outside the cabins.
If the outdoor trash bins are full, please leave any additional securely bagged trash inside the kitchen and let us know.
Normal vacation use is absolutely expected. There is no expectation that guests perform a full cleaning before departure. We simply ask that the cabins not be left with excessive trash, food, dishes, spills, or other unusually extensive messes.

WINDOWS, DOORS & LIGHTS

Whenever you leave the property, please take a moment to make sure all exterior doors and windows are securely closed and all lights are turned off.
Because this is a mountain environment, open doors and windows can allow weather, insects, wildlife, and cold or hot air into the cabins while also creating security concerns.
Keeping the cabins secure and energy-conscious while you are away helps protect the property and keeps everything comfortable for your return.

PET POLICY — PLEASE HELP US STAY PET-FRIENDLY

After four years as a no-pet property, we have recently decided to welcome up to two furry friends to join you on your mountain vacation. We understand that pets are an important part of the family, and we want our guests to have the opportunity to include them in their getaway.
Our previous decision not to allow pets was unfortunately the result of repeated issues with pet hair in bedding and linens, scratched doors, damaged furniture, excessive shedding, and pets being left unattended in the cabins.
We would truly like to keep our homes pet-friendly moving forward, and we appreciate your help in making that possible for future guests and their furry family members.
Please observe the following during your stay:
• Pets may not sleep in guest beds or on any bedding or linens.
• Please keep pets off sofas, chairs, and other furniture.
• Pets may not be left unattended inside either cabin.
• The property is not fenced, so pets should not be allowed to roam freely outdoors and should remain supervised and under control at all times.
• Please promptly clean up pet waste both inside and outside the property.
• Please clean up excessive pet hair and shedding before departure.
• Please take reasonable precautions to prevent scratching or chewing of doors, furniture, walls, and other furnishings.
These guidelines are especially important because future guests, members of our housekeeping team, and the homeowners may have pet allergies or sensitivities. Pet hair on bedding and upholstered furniture can be particularly difficult to completely remove during a normal turnover.
We don’t expect pets—or their owners—to leave no trace of having enjoyed their vacation. We simply ask for responsible pet ownership and a little extra care while sharing our homes.
Please help us keep these cabins pet-friendly by leaving them free of pet hair in the linens, scratched doors, damaged furniture, uncleaned shedding, and other preventable pet-related issues.
With everyone’s cooperation, we hope to continue welcoming furry family members for many years to come.

WINTER SEASON | DECEMBER–MARCH

Winter in Twain Harte can be beautiful, but mountain weather can also be unpredictable.
Power outages occasionally occur during winter storms. Fortunately, each cabin is equipped with a whole-home generator that automatically activates during an outage, helping minimize disruption during shorter outages.
During longer-duration outages, generator use may need to be regulated to preserve fuel and ensure continued access to the most important home functions. In those situations, we may ask guests to limit generator-supported electricity to essential periods and necessary features such as heating, refrigeration, lighting, and other basic household needs.
For additional preparedness and comfort, the cabins are equipped with:
• Flashlights
• Lanterns
• Wood-burning fireplaces
• Firewood for supplemental heat
• Whole-home generators
• Basic emergency lighting options
Severe weather can also temporarily affect internet or Wi-Fi service. Because internet infrastructure and utility service are controlled by outside providers, occasional weather-related interruptions may be outside our control.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for winter reservations, particularly if your travel plans could be affected by snow, road conditions, storms, or other weather-related events.

HEATING & COMFORT

Both cabins have been converted to central heating systems for improved comfort and more consistent temperature control.
The original wall heaters have been decommissioned and are no longer in use.
The wood-burning fireplaces remain available and provide additional warmth as well as a classic mountain atmosphere. Firewood is provided for your stay.
Please keep exterior doors and windows closed whenever possible to help the central heating system operate efficiently and maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.

HOT TUB GUIDELINES

Your private hot tubs will be prepared and ready for your arrival.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Host was definitely welcoming. But amenities need some work. The towel holder of our bathroom was broken. The towels are really old. Some of the towels needs to be replaced! Kitchen dustbin is broken. Kitchen utensil were not in great shape and needs to be replaced. Overall the house was clean and beds were clean but we found dirty underwear below our sink. Kids enjoyed the backyard and fireplace.

Hi Palak, we're disappointed to hear that the cabin amenities didn't meet your expectations. We've fixed the towel holder, ordered a new set of towels and kitchen utensils. We also apologize for the unfortunate article of clothing left under the bathroom sink by a past guest, our cleaning crew had little time to get the cabins ready since another set of guests checked out the morning of your check-in so it seems the cleaning crew was hyper focused on getting the cabins ready for your group - we've notified them of the situation. We hope you stay with us again and give us the opportunity to impress you.

Wonderful property for big groups. Listing, for some reason, says 0 bedrooms. Here's the breakdown as best I remember. First house has two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs, one bedroom has queen bed, other has two twin beds. Upstairs there is a bedroom and bathroom. This bedroom has a king bed and twin bunk beds in a converted walk in closet. Beyond this, the couch in the living room pulls out for another bed space.Second house has bedroom downstairs with double bed, single bed, and trundle bed , there is also a bathroom downstairs. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Bedrooms both have queen beds. There is also a pull out couch in the living room.Glamping tent has two beds, perhaps two doubles or queen and double. We had 19 that stayed at the houses. We were a teensy bit crowded, but made it work. Kitchens are both very well stocked with good pots, pans, dishes, and most anything needed. Because I've often found rental kitchens lacking, I bring some things from home, but really did not need to this time. One house has a wonderful big patio we used for eating. Also decks to use.Private lake is 10 per person per day. Price was off-putting for us at first, but WELL WORTH IT! Great place to hang out. Plus owner has a kayak and paddle board for use at the lake. We had a 12 year old who spent hours paddling all around the lake.Owner was extremely responsive and helpful. I've stayed at many rentals, this one is a keeper.

My wife and I do all we can to make sure your vacation is enjoyable by thinking of as many details as possible. We ensure the cabins have firewood with fire-starters, plowed driveways, stairs that are clear from snow and have been salted and propane readily available for the grills. Our intention is to enable you to spend as much time on vacation because life is hectic and time away is more crucial than ever.

Why they chose this property

Twain Harte is a quiet, low-stress gem in the Sierra Mountains. We love taking a short walk into downtown Twain Harte to visit the Local Press for a morning coffee and delicious burrito or The Rock Brewery for a great beer and a burger or The Villa for a delicious Italian dinner with a nice glass of wine. Dodge Ridge Ski Resort is also only 30 minutes away.

What makes this property unique

Having two cabins right next to each other is like nothing else in Twain Harte. Our guests enjoy letting the kids play and explore in the Cozy Bear Cabin while the adults catch up and relax in the Enchanted Pines Cabin. This layout is also perfect for multiple families who want to spend time together but also like to have their own cabin to retreat to for some low-key time when desired. You and your group will love these cabins.
