This cabin far surpassed what the pictures show. It was inviting and well appreciated. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet mornings with coffee on the porch and evenings with a fire down by the creek. We only wish we had another day or two we could have stayed. We will definitely be back!
Cabin was very well stocked, clean and in a great location. The sounds of the creek made it super peaceful. Everything you need is close by. Tucked away for privacy.
Well appointed for a mountain cabin. Its was a great creek cabin. We enjoyed it very much. We are an out door on the move family so the accommodations were more than enough for a good take off point to visit friends and family.now that we found this place we will try to stay again.
My Mom and I stayed here for a quick weekend to ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. The place was convenient and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone.
This cabin is in a great location. It is close to downtown Blue Ridge but tucked away so you'd never know. The cabin was beautiful and well stocked. It sits near a creek with a porch overlooking it. We all loved it. Easy communication with the owner was a plus.
We love the cabin and the creek! Just the right amount of space for our small family. The kids loved spending time exploring the creek. A nice, quiet, weekend getaway!
This place was amazing. The house was very nice and looked better in person if that’s possible. It was very close to restaurants and grocery stores. The very best part was sitting on the large porch listening to the creek below. Would definitely go back.
The property is amazingly serene and relaxing. We definitely enjoyed it all. The only thing is the property is difficult to find because GPS sends to a neighboring property. However it was no problem at all bc Carolyn gave us directions to the property and they were excellent. Would highly recommend
We loved the cabin and wished we had more time to spend
in Blue Ridge. It was very clean, had all the amenities we
needed and close to Blue Ridge and we will definitely stay
there again when in the area. I can't wait to tell all my
friends about our visit and this beautiful place to stay.
It was so peaceful and quite with the creek right outside
our window. Couldn't have asked for anything better.
My friends and I wish we could have stayed longer! The cabin was immaculately clean. We loved the floor plan that had two spacious bedrooms separated by a big living room and well furnished kitchen. Windows and a wonderful deck/porch that give great views of the beautiful stream and trees really make this place a great getaway. Love hearing the sounds of the stream, so peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was close to a lot of great restaurants and hiking trails. I would definitely stay here again!
We loved the location on the creek. The house was impeccably clean and comfortable. One of the best features that we only realized after staying there is the accessibility to day trips in so many directions, many within an hour. The scenery all around is beautiful.
There was some sort of construction or road work going on nearby which was at times noisy enough to be irritating. The sounds of the creek are so wonderful--which is why this mattered to us. Clearly this is not within the control of the property owner. It's a growing area. The upside is that nearby Blue Ridge had everything we could need. It's very convenient, yet feels remote except for that noise.
We enjoyed staying at Serenity, and if you're looking for a quiet getaway, we suggest you check it out, too. The cabin was beautiful, clean, mostly secluded and relaxing. It had everything we needed and is tastefully decorated. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the creek flow by. The stair access to the creek needs to be repaired to allow for easier access, but it was so peaceful and we enjoyed listening to it. When we arrived and on the second day, the driveway appeared to be washing out due to the storms and rain. The internet service and satellite tv service were going in and out, and it was probably due to the late afternoon/evening storms, as well. The lack of internet and tv service was not a major problem for us since we had good cell phone service. The bottom line is that we wanted a quiet, clean, and relaxing place to stay, and this hit those marks and then some. Serenity at Hemptown Creek is a delightful place to stay, play, and rest.
After visiting Blue Ridge in the Fall to take the Scenic Train Ride, we decided to do a two day Getaway that matched our schedule. Travel: The Cabin is a good way off main road, but the narrow road plus gravel path that leads to the cabin is certainly navigable. If you need to leave the cabin, expect a 5-7 minute drive back to main road. Don't trust Google Maps, follow instructions given by the owners. Check in was easy.Cabin: Looks much better in person than in photos. Modern and Rustic at the same time. There is space outside to sit, and very close to the creek. Inside, the heating system worked as expected, you have all the basic needs to cook if needed, the bed was comfy and space was inviting.Cleanliness: The interior living spaces were clean on inspection. Only dings were that there was still a used K Cup in the Keurig, the Keurig needs Descaling and the wash cloths, while undoubtedly clean, had unidentified stains on them, so we went out and bought our own. The outdoor seating areas were dusty and dirty, but they are outdoor seating areas, so that's expected. Communications and Connectivity: All questions were answered promptly by the PM and or Owner. The WiFi is spotty, but not nearly a deal breaker. The satellite TV didn't work at first, but a quick reboot fixed it right up. We have Verizon, and our service was good the entire stay.Overall, it's definitely a cabin we would book without hesitation again. A fantastic stay!
Enjoyed our stay tremendously. This cabin & location is so appropriately named “Serenity” so wonderfully peaceful with the bubbling creek flowing past the cabin. Will definitely book there again.
We were absolutely amazed with everything about this property! The name “Serenity “ speaks for itself! This beautiful cabin had everything we needed. Stores and restaurants were within a 10 minute drive. We are definitely going back sometime this summer. If you like peace and quiet, this is perfect!
Everything was perfect. Easy access to property, very clean, great communication with owner. We plan to come back with our granddaughters when it warm up.
We really enjoyed our weekend and we rested. Very beautiful cabin that had more than we needed. The sound of the creek was soothing and definitely would stay here again.
This is a NEW listing...First time on any listing for rental. It is our personal property that we lived in for 4 to 6 months of the year. While living in Tampa, FL, the rest of the year we couldn't wait to get to the mountains every year. Because of health issues we decided to share it with others. We hope you will rent with us and see what a wonderful experience the cabin is. Jerry and Carolyn
Why they chose this property
This property is somewhat secluded...like in a forest yet there are nice neighbors behind all the trees. Blue Ridge town is 10 minutes away and the grocery store is 8 minutes away. So convenient!
What makes this property unique
Blue Ridge, GA, is a wonderful place that offers so many experiences that it is hard to list them all. From swinging bridges, to waterfalls, to shopping downtown, riding the train, wineries, and activities at the Art Center downtown. An information book is in place at the cabin with information on these and many more!
