Overall, our stay at sunset haven was pretty good. The house was clean except for the floors. The outdoor trash bin was full upon check in, and this made it difficult to throw away the garbage accumulated over the weekend. Conveniently located near the pool and the pickleball courts. Walk to the beach was short

Very nice place

Clean. Well kept. Great location. A couple things that could be helpful to the owner. First, the hanging light over the table does not match the location of the table. Every time you stand up, you bang your head on the hanging light. Also, the smoke alarm, in the master bedroom is not working properly. When you take a shower, it goes off. This was a bit annoying. Finally, the local contacts were somewhat difficult to work with. However, one person, whose name I think might’ve been Danielle, was extremely helpful. All in all a good experience. if you want to discuss it further, give me a call. Thank you.

Lovely week with a few snafus

There were a few problems we found when we arrived, got inside fine but found few repairs needed. Stench & flies from stinking garbage outside from previous renters. Icemaker not on and despite a new place broken towel rack and chipped tub and bedroom on first floor too hot, upstairs too cold. No coffee filters so had to go and buy before we made coffee the next morning. The local person who finally responded to all my requests after 24 hrs was very nice and brought people out to help us, except she promised to credit me for the coffee filters we bought and never did. Also because no one responded to the horrible garbage mess overflowing outside, the next morning we had a nasty mess due to animals during the night opening and spreading horrible garbage and collecting thousands of flies, which stayed all week. My men picked up & bagged the morning yard mess to reduce stench and flies and two of them slipped and fell soiling their clothes on the slimy mess. They also hosed down the area before the garbage was collected by the pickup people to try to clean up the area . One would think the cleaning people would have done something about all the overflowing garbage can and lose bags. Flies were a problem all week,Foundfly swatter hidden on fridge. All had a great time except me! I enjoyed no sunburn though. State park beach & water was excellent and they all wish to return. St Joe provided good food when we ate out.
