The Lion’s Den is a 2,700 SF cabin, built in 2021, contemporary style. It is nestled on top of a ridge in the gated community of Warm Springs Ranch. It overlooks the South Park Basin and surrounding mountain ranges. It is a great base for outdoor adventures and day trips, including hiking, skiing, whitewater rafting, and fishing. Close proximity to Breckenridge, Buena Vista.

This listing is for guests who only need to have access to the main floor and the loft.
However, this house also has a walk-out basement. This large basement has another sitting and family area with TV, foosball table, full bathroom, extra queen pull-out bed, and wet bar with microwave.

Please be aware that our short-term rental license limits the number of guests in the cabin to up to 6 people. Park County is very strict in enforcing this and may revoke our permit in case of non-compliance.

After years of dreaming of a building a mountain get-away, we purchased a lot off High Creek Road in Warm Springs Ranch at the end of 2016. Ground breaking for the new home started in May of 2017. For the construction of the house a contractor was hired to oversee the completion of the main structures. Most of the interior finishes were completed by myself with the help of the family. A lot of time and sweat went into the project, but the result is a home away from home that we can proudly call our own.

Why they chose this property

Our mountain retreat is located in the foothills of the Mosquito Mountain Range. It offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the South Park valley. The location in the gated community of Warm Springs ensures quiet and peaceful surroundings, far from the hustle and bustle of today's cities. However, it is still close enough to make some great day trips to nearby old mining towns and interesting places and attractions to discover. Skiing in Breckenridge is only a 40 minute drive away and there are plenty of white water rafting companies in nearby Buena Vista.
