The farmhouse was truly a relaxing space for us which was much needed with a family member in the ICU. Juan left us fresh farm eggs which warmed my heart after a rough hospital day. My dog enjoyed walking around the pond and playing in the yard. Beds were comfortable, lots of space inside with a stocked kitchen. The location is wonderful because you’re within 10-15 minutes to everything but feel the comfort of being in the country!
We enjoyed the stay. The home was spacious and clean. The location is super secure and safe. Our kids enjoyed the farm property, animals, pond, and pool.
This property by far was our best stay yet! We loved everything about our stay, the country living, farm animals, pond, pool, BBQ, patio and very roomy house with an open floor plan! The home was very clean and stocked with everything you need for a great stay! We will for sure stay again on our next visit. 5 stars to Hosts, well done!
Enjoyed the farm. The barn cats were very friendly and a welcome guest. Very relaxing and quiet place to stay. Close to all stores while still feeling remote. Would definitely stay here again. Owner was very accommodating.
Great place, super comfy- it is in an agricultural area though, so if you're not used to the natural smells of ranching, it might not be your cup of tea. We loved it though. No grocery nearby, so best to get what you need before arriving, although Mead now has a couple if restaurants, and a Domino's. Maggi's Kitchen on Main serves a great breakfast.Never saw the owner/property manager, but info conveyed through the VRBO site was easy to follow, and once in the house, everything was nicely labled.
Cute farmhouse experience with room to roam, and still close to stores and things to do. The hospitality was spot on. I would stay at the house again and highly recommend for a family or 2 to stay.
Juan was so accommodating, helping us get into his VRBO at the last minute, after our family had experienced a shocking emergency that same day. The home was very clean and the beds and furniture quite comfy. It was peaceful and the farm animals were fun to see. We even got fresh eggs from Juan! He is definitely a blessing and went above and beyond to help us.
Everything was great! Group of six of us and we had plenty of room.
The house and area surrounding were all in good shape.
Communication with the property manager was great.
The home and owners are absolutely wonderful!
My kids loved the property. They could swim, fish, enjoy the farm animals, and roast marshmallows at night by the fire pit! Fishing was great in the pond!
It was so relaxing and beautiful! The owner and gardener were very nice and went out of their way to make sure you had the best time at their home! We look forward to another vacation in Colorado soon! Thank you, The Andrey Family ( Melissa & Joe)
This house is in a great location, with easy access to so many interesting places within an hour drive or less. The gourmet kitchen and outdoor grill were nice features. There is plenty of room to share cooking space with others, and seating options for meals. The two ROKU TVs (in the living room, and in the primary bedroom) are a little small for the spaces they occupy, so we didn't use them much, but the wi-fi was sufficient for all of our tech needs (remote work, phones, watching movies). The county road in front of the property is pretty busy, so don't expect "country quiet". There is a short cement wall between the yard and the road that offers a bit of a protective barrier (great for loose pets and children). Depending on which way the wind blows you might notice the eau de parfum of livestock. The property regularly had people tending to the property. We found Juan, our host, and everyone else to be friendly and personable. If in the area, we would definitely consider renting the Mountain View Farmhouse again.
While the exterior exuded rustic charm and quaint appeal, the interior fell short of basic cleanliness standards, greatly detracting from the overall experience.
As the closest accommodation to my dying sister, I expected a clean and comfortable environment to spend precious time with her. However, upon arrival, I was shocked to discover numerous cleanliness issues that significantly detracted from the experience.
The kitchen was marred by mice droppings scattered across the countertops and floors, creating an unsanitary living environment. Additionally, I found a child’s toy, crumbs, and mouse droppings in one of the beds, and mouse droppings on top of the other bed, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning between guests. Furthermore, dirt and old pills were discovered behind the dresser and under the beds, highlighting a gross neglect of basic hygiene standards.
These conditions not only compromised our comfort but also raised serious concerns about the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the property. Given the sensitive nature of my visit, I had expected better from a reputable rental service like VRBO.
I did contact the owner after checkout and he was receptive to hearing of the problems.
We were unable to pack up and move due to needing to focus on our remaining time with our dying sister.
