Great fireplace, beautiful view, fun things like air hockey and ping pong, and a funny, lovely host. The only complicated part was regarding trash but my husband is a country boy so he figured it out before we got the check-out information. It didn't impact our stay, so 10/10 recommend. :)
Very nice and comfortable property with gorgeous view. Was a little confused by the description with the number of bedrooms as one can be an add-on vs included in the cost, but it was resolved. Owner was very responsive.
Property was pretty much as advertised, beautiful view over lake and mountains. It’s up there so plan your shopping and other activities. Great place to get away and relax. Nice accommodations. Suggest safety strips on entry stairs to deck, hard to see in dark and when it’s wet. Great stay!
Loved the property. The condition & cleanliness of everything from the furniture to the dishes to the bathrooms was exceptional. The deck is huge and the best place to hang out. The kitchen/living is somewhat small but accurately portrayed, beautifully decorated and was perfect for our two families, totaling 6 people. Bruce, the property manager was extremely helpful and even dropped by when we needed something we didn't have on hand.
We stayed during winter break. It was an incredible experience. We visited local towns, went to the local donut shop, went hiking , even went to local cinema ! The view is breathtaking. The cabin was impeccable. Everything that was needed was there. The property manager, Bruce is sweet, always available and gave us incredible advice (since he is a local). Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. Definitely will be back.
Our annual trip to the Blue Ridge mountain area did not disappoint! Enjoyed the facilities within the Bear Paw community (basketball, fishing, hiking). Visited and drove over the massive Dam across the street! Spent a lot of time in the house enjoying family and amazing views.
The layout worked out great for us, 9 people (4 kids, 5 adults) fit comfortably. The finished basement with full amenities was a great space for our boys! The upstairs layout was open and inviting. Cooked Thanksgiving Dinner for the whole family while conversing, watching Football and enjoying the warm fireplace. Huge deck on the entire backside of the home was refreshing.
Bruce went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay! From arrival to departure he was extremely accommodating. Highly recommend!

Folks like yall make my job easy. Thank yall for take such good care of the house
We have been going to Bear Paw community since 2014. This house was one of the best we’ve stayed in.
The house is cozy and recently updated.
The bedrooms are on the small side.
The master has plenty of room. The master shower is quite cozy but the water pressure is very nice.
The living area is sufficient for six people as is the dining area.
Bruce, who is your contact was exceptional to work with.
The kitchen was sufficient for a rental. It was well stocked, but it is a smaller kitchen. There were times when it was hard to prepare a meal because of counter space issues. More of the cozy feel.
The gas grill on the deck was large and high quality! Lots of chairs out on the back deck to enjoy the view.
We took our dog. And the house worked really well to have a pet with you.
What sets this house apart is the view. It was pretty nice to sit on the back deck and watch some rise and see the mountains and the lake in the distance.
We hope to return
One thing:
If you are traveling with kids under 10. You do need to know that the deck bannister had pretty wide openings. Not a deal breaker, but I would want to know if I’m traveling with small kids.
