Mostly Great but a Little Tough for Young Kids
My family and I were in town for a funeral and this place suited our needs quite well, though it did have a few things that weren't quite perfect. First of all the stairs to the second floor were very steep, which was a little scary with my son (5) and daughter (3). Also, it was really close to the street where cars were going by pretty fast, so we also had to be really careful with the kids when coming and leaving. Neither of these are obviously something the owner has control over, and if my kids were a couple years older both of those things would be less troublesome, but still they added a small note of stress to our stay. Also, for me personally the upstairs bed was very firm. However, all of those things were relatively small compared to everything else that made our stay fairly easy. We had a little trouble checking in but Martin was extremely responsive and had our issues ironed out within minutes. The place was spotlessly clean upon arrival, and there were water bottles on the counter for us since Butler's water can be iffy, which I thought was a nice touch. The location was particularly perfect for us since it was about 5 mins away from my Uncle's house by car (my whole family has lived in the Butler area for generations), but it was also very easy to get anywhere in town very quickly from there. So overall, just about exactly what we needed for the weekend. Thanks to the owners for letting us use their property.
