Madison is home to this holiday home. Schroeder Saddletree Factory Museum and Dr. William Hutching's Office & Hosptal are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Thomas Family Winery and Lanthier Winery.
Beautiful home within walking distance to the river and downtown. We were in town for our son’s wedding and the house accommodated my entire family. The host was responsive and very helpful. Will definitely stay here again!
Host was welcoming. Enjoyed our stay but didn’t realize the traffic on Jefferson would be so busy and loud. Kitchen cutlery and pans were pretty bad but otherwise it was comfortable and nice considering it was so old.
Loved the house but we would have liked to have seen the house decorated for Christmas. Some places we have stayed at in the past were decorated. The other thing was we had dog hair on the sheets on multiple beds. The mattresses were not as comfortable for us older people and maybe tvs in bedrooms.
Gorgeous home very welcoming and wonderful location. Madison is a beautiful little town and this home reflects the beauty and pride it takes in its historical treasures.
Can't say enough about this place. Clean, stocked, spacious, everything functions as designed, clean, gorgeous, convenient location. One of the nicest rentals I've stayed.
We had a great time. The house was super spacious and clean and perfect for our family of 4. We were walking distance from restaurants and shops and the neighborhood was charming. We will definitely come back!
Clean, comfortable and cozy rental for a Christmas visit with family. This location was ideally located in downtown Madison in walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the river walk. They even had a lit Christmas tree set up and waiting for us. Highly recommend!

Great for a girls trip
We enjoyed having our own rooms and bathrooms. The street noise was a little rough but the sound machines that are provided really helped.
We loved the location!! All the shops and restaurants were within walking distance. Nice upgrades to an older home. The owner was great to work with. Would rent again.
Great location, clean, well decorated. Appreciated the coffee pods/tea available. Kitchen well stocked, and liked the history blurb on the welcome note.
Would recommend for families or friend groups. Thanks!

Nice little town
Needs a deep cleaning. Front door allows a lot of road noise in. Upon arrival the side door was partially open. Small room needs a side table.
4 of us were coming to Madison area to celebrate our 50 year homecoming. The house allowed us to have more direct contact with each other than staying in a hotel and we enjoyed having a full kitchen and gathering space in the living areas.
One bedrooms is very, very small with only a single bed in it and no other furniture. Might be OK for a child but renters need to be aware that there are only 3 full bedrooms in the house with one space to sleep an extra person.
The property is beautiful, clean and there is a welcome book to help you along. There is also a welcome book you can share your experiences which makes it really nice because you can read the memories and places others have enjoyed.
It is close to the road but there is parking on the side street and the owner lets you know it is best to park there, parking was not an issue.
The beds, bedding and pillows were really comfortable.
We Love Madison and look forward to trying new places next time and visit some we already have.
The owner is very responsive.
This was a wonderful experience!!!

The property is on a very busy street/highway and on the route of the only bridge across the river for miles. The automobile noise is 24/7. Sound machines are thoughtfully provided but don’t cut it. The walk to Main St is not long but the busy street needs to be crossed. There are traffic lights that helped. The beds were comfy. Some sheets and towels had holes. The front door and jam need some repair to feel completely secure. With the front door so close to the street, definitely keep an eye on kids and pets. Kitchen well stocked. Backyard space/fence had a no trespassing sign and a different address on and we weren’t sure if we’d upset someone accessing the back from the side street. It all felt like it needed a good scrub, coat of paint and a lot of caulk.
The house had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable (upstairs bedrooms could have used small lamps). We were happy to have a downstairs bathroom, but the shower needs a shelf for our products. The kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed. The living room was very nice & comfy, but not enough seating for 7 of us. Overall, we loved the house and would recommend it to others.
It sits on a high-traffic street, so if youre a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.
We came to Madison for our Wedding. We chose to stay at Jefferson Off Main because the location was downtown, was large enough for 7 people and it allowed dogs. The house was huge, which gave us the room to spread out and get last minute details situated. Everything was very clean and it felt like home from the minute we got there. The kitchen was fully equipped and we took full advantage of for a post wedding brunch. There were a couple Frosty Paw treats in the freezer for the dog, which our dog loved since it was a very hot weekend. The bedrooms up front were a little noisy by the main road, however, everyone was exhausted from the festivities we didn't even realize it at night. This was the perfect place for our family to stay at for our Wedding Weekend!
