Villa MariStella is an enchanting property, spread out over two terraces, located on the picturesque aerea of Positano center.

The structure, subdivided into two levels, has a breathtaking view overlooking the coast of Posita-no sea.
The entrance is only 16 stairs from the main road, then a beautiful grey stone staircase brings you inside the house.
The Place
Situated in one of the most scenic areas of Positano , walking in the pedestrian area, from Villa Maristella you can easily reach the Big Beach and the Pier ( ferry to Capri and Amalfi) or the beautiful Fornillo beach.

The location of the Villa is in heart of Positano, between the beaches and the entrance to the town of Positano, making it possible to reach either one either on foot or by the local bus that stops 30 meters from our home.

The big beach and the pier is at 700 meters stairs+pedestrian, while Fornillo beach is at 600 me-ters, are reachable in 10 minutes walking.
You can easily reach the Pier and the beaches by descending a pedestrian shortcut or walking through the old stairwells of Positano, the ‘scalinatelle’ ( little streets consisting of narrow stairways and steps). This is something not to be missed! Climbing down the steps, passing by the most visited places by tourists, you will discover and unveil enchanting angles of Positano, and then, once you have visited all the little streets by foot, you can always go back up by the local shuttle bus!

The gate of MariStella is reached by climbing only 16 stairway.
You can reach the bus stop on foot 30 meters ( 1 minute walking) from the house, and you can park your car 100 meters ( 2 minutes walking) away in a pay parking lot. You can reach nearby shops from 20 to 300 meters ( 1 to 5 minutes walking); four grocery shops from 150 to 400 meters; 8 res-taurants from 50 to 200 meters ( 1 to 5 minutes walking); laundry, newspapers, hairdresser at 100 meters; café-bar from 30 to 400 meters.
The villa Maristella is an ideal place for groups of friends, family reunions, or for guests attending a weddings on the Amalfi Coast.

Our host, Sabrina, was very accommodating and helpful. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. Having bathrooms for each bedroom is a huge plus. Outdoor patio is beautiful with amazing views.

My family of 8 and 1 grandchild stayed here and thoroughly loved it. Gaetano and team were great and helped as needed. Gaetano even taught my grandson some Italian. We used the kitchen and terraces a lot and dined out as well. For a group of 8 adults and child this Villa was perfect. Steps, steps, and more steps!!

Great Location and Views in Positano

Great location with awesome views. Walkable to the beach and restaurants and great porch to sit at and enjoy. Nicely stocked kitchen with coffee and milk plus a few snacks so no need to run to the grocery store right away. Gaetano was very helpful and informative. Dropping off luggage and finding it initially was interesting, but that is a Positano charm with the traffic and one way street LOL

Amazing Views!

Very well equipped rental. The 6 bedroom unit is actually 2 separate apartments with the 4 bedroom above and 2 bedroom below. Every bedroom has its own bathroom which was a huge plus. Beds were very comfortable and nice cold AC. We were 9 adults and had plenty of space between the indoor and outdoor spaces. There was plenty of coffee and tea stocked in the units as well as paper towel and TP. Owner was very responsive to all requests. Easy checkin and check out.

This property is in a great location & was absolutely beautiful. Gaetano was so helpful with recommendations & in organizing tours for us. There were 10 of us (2 families) with children from 15-21 & we fit comfortably with all of the kids upstairs & the parents downstairs. I highly recommend this property!!

Great Villa in a Beautiful Location

Gaetano was an excellent host. He was extremely helpful in setting up our excursions and transportation. And always available for questions. The Villa accommodated 12 of us for a week with no issues. We loved the beaches and the highlight of our stay in Positano was the all day private cruise to Capri. Beautiful!

The Only Villa to Consider in Positano!

Gaetano was a pleasure to correspond with for the many months it took from the booking this beautiful Villa to checking in and throughout our stay. We were a group of 11 adults with lots of activities to schedule and Gaetano has all the necessary contacts to help get you where you want to go. I really bothered him a lot with my questions, but he responded very quickly and helped me organize our group of friends all over the area. Upon arrival, we were shown all the wonderful amenities that each apartment had. (Read the description carefully, he has everything you need!) He set us up the first night with dinner reservations at the Gabrisi Restaurant a few doors down from the Villa which was excellent. A few of us went back for lunch during the week. He also pointed out other great restaurants in the area. All in all, we had the perfect location. Check in was a breeze, the place was clean, comfortable and you cannot beat the stunning views! While in the area I would recommend seeing all that the Amalfi Coast has to offer, and when you are ready to conquor Positano, go book a private boat to Capri and a Sunset Tour with Maddy at Cassiopea Positano and tell them Gaetano sent you. Also, ask for Francesco to be your Captain. Check out "Music on the Rocks" if you can stay up late enough, and dine at " il Fornillo Restaurant" and "La Guarracino Restaurant" and enjoy the wonderful Food and scenary. Go to the Fornillo Beach as it is not as crowded and crazy as the Grande Beach, but that area is fun for the many restaurants and SHOPPING galore! If I were ever lucky enough to return to this beautiful area I would book this Villa again!

Gaetano was an outstanding host. He answered inquiries immediately and was quick to respond to all our needs. He arranged our transportation to and from Naples as well as a memorable guided trip to Pompei. Benjamin, the owner/driver of the transportation company was wonderful and accommodating. The spacious apartment was perfect for my family of 8 adults, 2 children and an infant. As a bonus there’s a nice fenced playground right below where we could watch the children play with locals. The apartment was immaculate and Gaetano is generous with stocking “essentials” such as coffee, cooking supplies, etc. Even with many shops and restaurants closed for the season (February) we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We were a group/family of 10. The villa was very nice and spacious for all of us. Gaetano was a great host, was very helpful with all questions. He gave recommendations plus printed information out for us. Also, had left groceries for us, cereal, water, pasta, sauce, coffee, which was great so we didn't have to run out to the store. Great location, would definately stay here again, would recommend to everybody. You will thoroughly enjoy your stay if you book this villa. Linda

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the villa or gaetano and his family .... they were lovely and accommodating.... and even went as far as providing christmas day dinner for us upon our arrival ( since everything in positano had already closed)... the villa was spacious and well appointed, with plenty of room for all nine of us ... the view was gorgeous .... it was a bit chilly while we were there but we all managed to have coffee on the patio in the morning ! the town itself is amazing...we found it mostly quiet ( off season/winter) but enjoyed every day and in reflection we are not sure we would want to be there during the summer with all the crowds...even the locals who live there year round are not a big fan of the overcrowding during the peak summer months. we found everyone very welcoming and helpful... from shop owners to restaurants to locals on the streets... everyone was delightful! speaking of streets... be prepared to walk... a lot.... all over the place.... there are very narrow stairways throughout the city leading from one end to the other .... it was quite the workout.... if you have any physical difficulties this may not be the place for you ... there is a local bus ( which we used towards the end of our week ) that will take you throughout positano .... overall .... it was a magical holiday ... and every bit as beautiful as the pictures .... !!!!!! thank you gaetano for sharing your lovely villa !!!!

Great Place To Share With Great Friends

My five friends and I came to Positano to celebrate our 50th birthdays. We could not have picked a better Villa for our stay. The interior was very clean. Each one of us had our own bedroom as well as bathroom. It is spit level if you are renting the whole villa (all 6 bedrooms). There are 4 bedrooms on the second floor and 2 bedrooms on the first floor. There are two laundry facilities as well as two kitchens with all the amenities. There are also two balconies with the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. It is on a main road but we didn't mind the sound of cars going by. I barely heard them going by at night. The location was perfect. There is a hotel practically next to the Villa called Gabrisa, where we would get our morning cappuccinos. We also ate dinner there one night and the food was wonderful. We were very centrally located to the beach as well as shops and restaurants. Positano is located in the hills. I do not recommend this area if there is anyone in your party that has trouble with steps as there are literally hundreds of steps up to grocery stores and down to the beaches. The city of Positano is amazing. It is so clean and has so many shops and restaurants. There is something for everyone. Gaetano (who lives on the top floor of the property) is very friendly and knowledgable about the area and can suggest many things to do. He can (and did) arrange for any activities you would like to experience. He can arrange anything from transportation to and from the Villa to making reservations for dinner or to visit the local towns including the island of Capri. One restaurant I suggest you try is II Ritrovo. They will send a car to pick you up and take you back to the Villa, for free. I was a bit skeptical of this restaurant as it seems like it might be very touristy, but the food was amazing. If you decide to try II Ritrovo, I would suggest a reservation. All in all it was an amazing and wonderful vacation made all the more prefect by staying at Villa Maristella

Loved the accommodations.

All that was promised! Greeted with a helpful smile and any info needed. The setting was breathtaking, and convenient for sightseeing via local buses. Parking down the street for a daily fee. Just be prepared to unload your car quickly in front of the building if you don't want to bring your luggage up from the parking area. We were eight American professionals who enjoy cooking and found that the two-kitchen arrangements worked well for our group. Beds were comfortable, lighting was good and the view.... OH, THE VIEW. A good value for this location.

Wedding in Positano

We rented the Villa for my daughter's wedding and could not have been happier. The rooms were wonderful, with plenty of room for everyone, the views couldn't be beat and Gaetano was very helpful and welcoming, going out of his way to help us find a restaurant to host our wedding dinner. You can`t get a better house and scenery for this price

Three families with kids in their late teens and a grandmother on 79 rented the whole villa for a week. The villa was perfect for us. Two fully equipped flats on two separate floors. We put the teens in one flat and the grown ups in the flat above. Giving the teens a feeling of freedom. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped and the terrace was fabulous with enough table and chairs to fit us all. The wiew from the terrace was truly amazing! All meals we had at the villa was enjoyed out on the terrace. Gaetano, the owner, and his family was the best hosts. Helpful in every way. They prepared and served two fantastic dinners with wine for us during our stay, to a good price. The stay gave us all many memories that we will treasure forever, thank you! P.S. Positano is a fantastic village with lots of steps

Large apartments with more than enough bed & bath rooms for 9 adults.

We rented 2 floors and had 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and 2 patio areas. Great views from the patios. The kitchens and living rooms are well furnished. I liked the location. We had to climb up to catch the bus or climb down to get to the beach. The house is clean and kept up nicely. Good restaurants are located very close by. We came from Rome by taking the train to Naples and a driver took us to the home. This was a great way to get there. Gaetano arranged the driver which was very helpful after a long day of traveling.

Family of 12 in Positano

I chose this property based upon the reviews and I have to admit that it was much better than I expected. The rooms were spacious, the property was clean and Gaeteno even had an American coffee pot (with filters). He was very nice to help us coordinate the ride from Naples to positano. He also helped us secure a tour as well. There are a lot of steps but it's is very manageable. Just up the road are wine shops, grocery stores. On street below up were many many restaurants. In the morning we would head downstairs to the truck that sold fresh fruit and vegetables (and they were wonderful). We would have lunch on the street below or walk to the beach. We met a wonderful cab driver who took us into Sorrento and to a wonderful restaurant Donna Sofia (off the beaten track but the best food I every had) Lugi then recommended another restaurant in the hill called El Ritrovo (the restaurant picked up us and the food and service didn't disappoint). If you need a personal driver I highly recommend Luigi 39 338753269. He accommodated our group of 12 and speaks very good English and knows so much about the coast. This property was absolutely great with views that are breathtaking. The family is wonderful and I plan on retuning!

Our villa is located in the center of the city of Positano, from where you will enjoy a beautiful view on the sea, from there in 10 minutes walking uphill or downhill you will reach any restaurant or place where headed.
Remember: when you choosing a hotel or an B&B would make sure if it is accessible by car - many are not, which means you are dragging uphill stairs luggage on foot

Positano is essentially is the pearl for the Amalfi Coast.
All in all, no matter how you decide to spend here your time – it will all be fabulous. From the colorful, cascading buildings on the mountains to the wonderfull hiking.
Wander the streets, alleys and stairways and uncover some of the prettiest views in the world.
Perhaps also sneak in a bit of shopping. You can find incredible ceramics, handmade sandal and dress made in Positano! Here you will find– beautiful beaches, shopping, lots restaurants, ask us tour to visit Capri by boat, easy ferries with many coastal destinations.
Using Positano as a starting point you can easily spend your time exploring neighboring towns like Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, the island of Capri and Pompeii escavations.
Here you don’t need to speak Italian.Get ready to walk.
Positano and the surrounding towns are built into cliffs and very hilly.
Anywhere you go is going to involve somewhat of a hike– either to up or down.
