What a beautiful location and property! Perfect for our family of 5, wildlife all around us, and convenient for hiking, sightseeing, Red Rocks, and events in Denver. Great communication from our hosts as well!

We're delighted you enjoyed your Thanksgiving stay and took full use of the surrounding beauty, hiking, events, and even wildlife!
This cabin is just what we were looking for! Unique, away from the hustle, but close to so many great excursions! The host, Pamela, was friendly and very responsive. Highly recommend!
Wonderful mountain neighborhood with lots of wildlife - deer, hummingbirds, even a fox! We really enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces and the little library cabin. The home was very spacious, updated, and well-appointed. The location is unbeatable with grocery stores close and one of the best scenic drives in the country nearby.

We are delighted to know that our first VRBO review has exceeded our hopes for our guests have a very enjoyable and rewarding experience of our home, the "little Library Cabin and the surrounding beauty of neighborhood and its precious four legged about! Gratefully, Pamela & Rich
We loved staying at this property. We woke up at sunrise each morning and sat on the back deck witch coffee and watched the sunrise and enjoyed the beautiful views.
The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and so are the pillows! Which is normally an issue for us, but this was perfect.
Pamela was very responsive and they really have thought of everything.
The location is absolutely beautiful!! We would highly recommend this property.

I am delighted, Lisa, that you so enjoyed the same things that we love about this home and neighborhood! We are grateful for you and your glowing recommendation!
We enjoyed our 4 ½-day stay at this “cozy spot at Rocky foothills.” The house was fully furnished with all necessary items. We lacked nothing. The quiescent environment in and outdoors made for the much-appreciated silent retreat that further fortified our 41-year matrimony. Stores like Safeway for groceries, Walmart for necessities and Starbucks for cold comfort are a quick, short drive from the house. We completed a puzzle together, made and took our meals together in the house, watched a few old movies, read, edited catechism material for future instruction and prayed together undisturbed and without pressing concerns. The bed, linen and covers were perfect, the evening especially serene and the mornings beautiful as the sun rose over the mountains and through the forest while birds chirped the dawn. There is an especially nice and cozy library cabin operating as a book exchange a la take a book, share a book basis on the property. A handful of the authors among the hundreds of books include Dante Alighieri, Michel de Montaigne, James Michener and Shakespeare. They make for great reading. Communication with the homeowner was consistent and especially cordial and helpful. We were assured of their prompt response if the need arose which never did.

Jose, thank you, for your care in describing your experience of our shared home and the little Library cabin. She is a cherished neighborhood gem. I particularly appreciate your description of the peace and even prayerful meditation that is enhanced. The living room was the chapel cabin in the late 1930s when the community was building a road over the mountains to Idaho Springs! The library, as a one room cabin, was the home of the community pastor. I am sure the trees, wild life, rock outcroppings, including semi-precious milky quartz so prevalent in the area, added to the serene experience. We are grateful to host visitors like you and your wife. Pamela & Rich

This is us, Pamela & Rich, at a wedding of a friend! Lots of people book our cozy home to join in family Weddings at Evergreen Lake or to enjoy skiing at Copper or Breckenridge like we do or go to Red Rocks Amphitheater like we did on our first date in 2009 to see Leonard Cohen, we are huge fans! Between the two us we have 45 years experience living in beautiful and friendly Evergreen. Owning this house is only with the help of kind and respectful people like you and it allows us to conduct occasional business sin Denver and enjoy time with our local friends and family. We are grateful to get to share this cozy home with guests!
Why they chose this property
Beautiful and friendly neighborhood. On this secluded acre of land, you are likely to see wildlife such as raccoon, fox, deer, elk, maybe a bear if you're really lucky but they hide very well and hibernate lots! The adjacent cabin and property is owned by another family member adding another half to the seclusion. The home is on a one lane small circle winding through rock outcropping and very mature ponderosa and other conifers with a few aspen gives for diversity! It feels more like a classic mountain camp site with gently sloping hills with lots of trees and rock outcroppings yet still some beautiful sunsets and distant mountain views from the deck and front yard. Plus I like lots of outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy all of this.
