The house was just like the pictures - very nice and spacious for a family of five. Everyone had a comfortable bed and plenty of room to unwind after a night of searching for the auroras. The house was very clean, which is always wonderful! It is in a great location, 20 minutes from Fairbanks. We would stay here again and would highly recommend it.
The description was exactly what we had. Pictures were accurate. The property fit our needs perfectly, and was located exactly where we were hoping to fit our needs for our excursions to the Chena Lake area.

Liked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Overall, the house was nice and had plenty of space for our group of four adult friends. We all work remotely, and the wifi was strong and reliable enough for multiple video calls at once. The beds were okay, and the kitchen had most of what we needed to cook for a few days.Unfortunately, the place didn’t feel clean when we arrived, especially the bathroom and towels. Communication, which started off great, suddenly stopped. No one replied through the website chat or to the text messages we sent to the number provided. There were also no instructions for things like using the heat, which was frustrating, and no check-out guidelines. Instead, there were just several notes around the house listing things we shouldn’t do.While the house itself was quiet, the surrounding neighborhood felt a bit sketchy. I’m not sure if that’s typical for North Pole, this particular area, or just because it rained the entire week. Another thing to note: the property uses well water. It had a strong odor and made showering unpleasant. You can’t drink it, so you’ll need to bring your own water. This may be normal for some people, but for us it was another downside.
