HIGH TIDE: Spacious Comfort Next to Tides Inn

Welcome to the brand new for 2023 listing, High Tide, a vacation rental in the charming town of Irvington in Virginia's Northern Neck. This spacious 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom one-story house sleeps up to 10 guests, making it perfect for family vacations or trips with friends.

Located directly across from the Tides Inn and a short walk from the heart of Irvington, guests will have easy access to both Carter's Creek and the Rappahannock River, where they can indulge in boating, fishing, and other activities.

The house has an oversized living room with comfortable seating, a gas fireplace, a large kitchen with all the necessary appliances and utensils, and a dining room that can accommodate eight guests comfortably. There is a study with a desk. The outdoor area is also a great feature of High Tide, with a large, fenced-in backyard, where guests can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. There is a courtyard equipped with a grill and an outdoor table that seats eight and a lounge area for relaxing. There is ample parking in the driveway, so guests can easily come and go during their stay.

We recently stayed at High Tide for a wedding and had a wonderful experience. The house was very clean, and the layout was spacious and comfortable for our group. Check-in and checkout were both super easy. The location couldn't be better- just a short walk to the charming town of Irvington, The Tides Inn Resort, and nearby restaurants. Could use outlets in bathrooms for getting ready more easily. Overall it was a great stay and hope to comeback soon.

Great Weekend at High Tide!

We loved High Tide for many things but mostly the location! The Tides Inn is right across the street and it’s a lovely quiet street. The decorating is lovely and fresh. It’s perfect for a wedding party or just a big family! Thank you we will come again!

We had guests from Hawaii, Alabama and Ohio. Everyone had their own space which was great. If your having a wedding at the Tides Inn this would be a great place to stash guests.

High Marks for High Tide!

We loved spending our girls' weekend at High Tide, a beautiful home so close to everything charming about Irvington! The bedrooms were spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with anything we needed, and we gathered around the dining room table when we weren't sitting in front of the fireplace. If the weather had been better, we would have spent time outside on the patio. We would definitely return to this perfect gem of a home!

Anniversary Escape with Family & Friends

We found High Tide to be a beautiful, spacious home with a fantastic layout and nice decor. Everyone enjoyed the visit and their accommodations. The open living area with a big screen TV was our meeting space. The location and use of the golf cart made our trips to The Tide's Inn so easy. There were a few things we shared with the owner and she was very receptive. The only major downside with the home is the kitchen was missing some essential items and the primary bath did not have any outlets. We would definitely make a repeat visit!

I am sorry to say that we were disappointed with the house. We felt that the house was not clean for example we had to clean the kitchen counters and touch up the bathrooms and one toilet smelled awful. We felt that all the windows and screens were dirty as well as we couldn’t sit out front because of the mold.

The location was great and the bedrooms and living room were attractive and clean, the house fit all of us nicely.The bathrooms were not described online and no photos of them so we were surprised to see how out dated and in such bad shape they are. Two toilets were so loose they weren’t safe to use.The kitchen was not clean and there was coffee still in the coffee pot and grounds in the filter, crumbs on the table, used condiments and crumbs in the refrigerator. We had to wipe everything down including inside the fridge so it was a bit disappointing.

(from email just sent) Amber and Marston First the property was quite nice and we enjoyed staying there. The main thing you need to address is the infestation of ants. They were all over the kitchen cabinets and dishes when we got there. Little more on the ants/bugs: In the kitchen around the sink, at the window, under sink, and inside & outside all cabinets from the window/sink around to the refrigerator. Could not use any dishes or glasses unless we washed them. Especially the glasses where we just bought some cheap glasses from Wal-Mart. There were some bugs and ants in differing parts of the house, but not like the kitchen. We will consider staying there again, but obviously you need to get the exterminator there before the next guests Thanks

They purchased the property in 2021 and have been working to make it a comfortable and inviting vacation rental for guests. Both Marston and Cille fell in love with the town of Irvington and its natural beauty, and they are excited to share their home with others.

Marston and Cille got married at the Tides Inn, located next door to their vacation rental, in fall 2022. They have many fond memories of Irvington with family and friends, and they want to provide guests with the opportunity to create their own memories in the Northern Neck.

They are excited to welcome you to NEWLY LISTED High Tide and to the town of Irvington starting in 2023, and they hope that you will fall in love with this special place just as they did.

Irvington, VA is a charming town located on Carter's Creek, just off the Rappahannock River, known for its scenic waterfront views, historic sites, and small-town atmosphere. The town offers a wonderful array of activities and amenities for guests to enjoy during their stay at High Tide. Whether you want to explore the town's rich history, indulge in delicious seafood and wine, or simply relax and take in the beautiful waterfront views, Irvington has something for everyone. The convenience of the short walk to town makes it easy for guests to enjoy all that Irvington has to offer. Guests can easily get around Irvington by walking, biking or by car. On-street parking is available throughout the town and guests can also park in designated parking lots behind the the restaurants in town.

What makes this property unique

We are the closest short-term rental to the Tides Inn, and we love walking over to the resort to eat at Chesapeake Restaurant and Fish Hawk Oyster Bar. We also regularly walk on the shoreline trail at the Tides with our pup. We are also the largest short term rental in the area and can comfortably accommodate big groups, and up to 2 dogs.
