We enjoy accommodating small and large groups while striving to set competitive prices for group sizes and seasons. To accomplish this, our base price is for 6 guests and for each guest greater than 6 we charge an extra fee per night. Please submit your reservation with an accurate guest count to generate the price for your group. If your party size changes, update your reservation so we can prepare the house for your comfort. Homes that accommodate larger groups require more upkeep, utilities, cleaning, and service. If you are a party of 2 we may be able to work with you. It is a great romantic getaway. Children and babies are welcome. We provide a high chair and a pack and play travel baby bed. You will need to bring your own sheets for the pack and play crib. *For your safety and for the safety of our home there are security cameras on the property that monitor the driveway and the walkway leading to the entrance. The cameras do not view any indoor space. *This home is in the woods which makes for a lovely secluded time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Do know that we share the woods with critters and insects. This comes with the territory. Most of the time there are not pesky insects outdoors but we cannot predict or control when nature decides their emergence.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

My large family of 8 and parents-in-laws stayed with us in the house. Very comfortable for all. The pool table was a winner for my Father-in-law and older kids.
Nice place. Best stocked kitchen of any rental yet. We like to cook so that was great. About 20 minutes from Seven Springs. Pool table was fun!

Family and friends getting together for the week. We wanted to stay more local this year and found this place. We went to the local beach for a day and just enjoyed the time.
Very nice and roomy vacation get away. house was super clean. big an open area, great kitchen. pool table was a plus since it rained one evening. Two things to make your stay better, bring is firewood and an outdoor grill since neither is provided. other than that it is very nice.
The property was perfect for my group of friends mountain get away. The cabin was cozy, the kitchen was well equipped and the location perfect. The cabin has plenty of room to spread out, play board games, shoot pool, and watch football by the fire.

Fun family getaway in lovely rustic home. Clean and spacious. We had a great time cooking in the kitchen and playing games and pool. Location was great. We did wish that there was a barbecue grill but otherwise it was a great place
Enjoyed our stay here with two other families. Very close to Hidden Valley and convenient for our days at Seven Springs. The space was perfect for our range of ages from preschool to our high-school and college-aged kids and our adults. We loved having different spaces to lounge in but a centralized dining area that everyone can come together at for breakfasts and dinners. Will try to return next year and make this trip annual!

Very nice and clean property with accomdating hosts. Great atmosphere for people looking to stay in and watch tv, have a fire, or go hiking and have a nice place to come back to and relax. Location is great too with Koozer state park right down the road as well as markets and restaurants near by. Only 4 of us were there for our stay, but it can definitely sleep a larger group comfortably. I highly recommend this location.

This past trip, I went with my parents and husband for a relaxing weekend getaway. We enjoyed nearby walks and hikes along with the gorgeous nature on the property itself. Listening to the bird calls from the deck every morning would have been enough entertainment to last the entire weekend! That didn’t stop us from snuggling up on the big comfy to watch a movie <3

About the host

The Wheel House provides retreat for us whether we are seeking rest or adventure. Skiing, biking, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, swimming, and white water rafting are a few of our favorite adventure activities. When we need rest, we gather in the great room for games, reading, and TV. We also love to cook and eat together and the open concept kitchen provides lots of opportunity to be together while preparing and enjoying meals. The relaxing sound of Kooser Run sets our souls to rest. We hope you find retreat like we do at the Wheel House.
Why they chose this property
We love the proximity to adventures while set in a secluded spot.
What makes this property unique
Our home is spacious, secluded, and in proximity to all that the Laurel Highlands has to offer. We love the rustic look of the exposed beams and barn wood combined with modern comfort. We love to cook in our large well stocked kitchen.
The large deck and fire pit areas are wonderful places to sit and relax. Strolling the property is a serine and therapeutic activity that we sometimes share with deer, numerous bird species, and insects. They charm us as we are situated in their habitat. Likely you found us because you enjoy this type of property. Please expect you may encounter nature while you are outside. The home is tucked into the hill and shaded by the trees. In summer we cool off well with windows open. Box Fans are provided for occasional midsummer hot afternoons.
