Black Bear Cabin, private and secluded!

The Black Bear Cabin at Dogwood Creek located on a private and secluded adjacent property from our main facility, this cabin is perfect for your next getaway! The Black Bear is a 3-bedroom cabin which can accommodate up to 8 people with 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twin beds, and a Queen sleeper sofa.

The cabin features a gas fireplace, Smart TV, WIFI, central heating and cooling, washer/dryer. The fully equipped kitchen with all major appliances, cookware and utensils you will need.

A spacious covered wrap around porch, deck with hot tub and gas grill. All you need to do is be prepared to relax and enjoy your stay. Let us know if you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, etc... and we will add a special surprise for you to enjoy!

Choose from the many year-round outdoor attractions nearby, the New River Gorge Visitor's Center, go whitewater rafting on the New and Gauley Rivers with our activity partners Adventures on the Gorge, nearby Winterplace Ski Resort for great snow skiing and tubing. Boating or swimming at Summersville Lake, hiking, golf, horseback riding, ATV's, fishing and just a short drive away from many State and National parks.

Perfect getaway to relax and bond with nature and family

Everything we needed was provided. Lots of sites and unique attractions in the area. Make sure you have a 4 x 4 vehicle as the roads are steep. The hot tub was perfectly balanced and ready to get in and very relaxing and the house a had a cozy charm to it

Home away from home

My adult kids and my husband and I spent the weekend hiking so it was nice to come back to the cabin to relax and eat a home cooked dinner. Perfect size for all of us. And close to many things yet the place was secluded. We saw deer in the backyard and the sunset view was gorgeous.

Great time

Overall, the property was clean, quiet and had all the amenities advertised and needed for a great weekend.The hot was used for several hours and enjoyed. We struggled to get the temperature above 100 degrees.The gas grill was very convenient, but unfortunately needed to be replaced. I was told that a new grill would be delivered.We spent most of our time outside on deck. We brought the chairs from the yard, but would have liked a table and chairs for the deck.There was a small fire pit, but we didn’t use it since no fire wood was present.There was also a couple of wasp nests that were dormant, but should be removed.I know that I mentioned several items but the cabin was private, clean and comfortable so we had a great weekend!
