About this property
Cozy & Hip Japandi-Style Studio in the Heart of Ballard
Welcome to our cozy and serene Japanese - Scandinavian inspired home located in Ballard. Our newly remodeled space has soaring ceilings, a queen-size bed, a full-size sleeper futon, fully equipped kitchen, and a private keyless entrance. Our home is a short walk away from some of the best restaurants, cafes, craft breweries and local boutiques that Ballard has to offer. We're also one block away from the D Line bus station, which will take you to downtown Seattle in 25 minutes.
We carefully curated this spacious studio with natural materials and woods (including a few homemade furnishings!) to provide a relaxing atmosphere that will help you feel rejuvenated and recharged after a day of working or exploring.
Enter through the front using a private keyless entrance on the first floor. There is free street parking out front and a private designated parking spot in the back that is always available for guests. We live upstairs and are happy to have as much or as little contact as you’d like. The space is 100% private (no shared common spaces) but we’re always available to make sure you have a great stay.
We are in a convenient location on a main road and while this offers easy access in getting around, you may hear some street and traffic noise. If you are a light sleeper, we provide disposable ear plugs and a sound machine. We also have thick black-out curtains to block out light.
If you have a longer stay, you can schedule with us to do laundry upstairs in our residence.

About the host
Hosted by Bryce Barsten

Hi! We’re Anne and Bryce. We both grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and absolutely love living in Ballard, Seattle. When we’re not hosting guests, we write and record music together in a band called Chinese American Bear (check us out on all socials and streaming platforms!) We also love traveling, trying out new restaurants, and meeting people from all over the world. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything during your stay. We hope you have a wonderful time here!
Why they chose this property
Ballard is a very friendly neighborhood where historic meets hip. The main downtown strip (Ballard Ave. and NW Market Street) is lined with quaint shops and restaurants built in beautiful historic buildings. You have everything from high-end cocktail bars and restaurants, to dive bars and cheap burger joints. We love to wake up on Sunday mornings and walk down to Ballard Ave where we'll grab a coffee, shop a little, and enjoy the Sunday Farmers Market.
We also love being near the water and piers. In the summer & fall, we love to go crabbing and fishing on the piers (only 7 minutes minutes away). We also love spending time at Golden Gardens beach!
Lastly, Ballard is situated right next to Fremont, Green Lake and Magnolia neighborhoods - which all offer some of our favorite shops, restaurants, views, and walks!
