This is a perfect house for a large group. We had seven and fit very comfortably. The location is right on the ocean and the views are beautiful. The house was very nicely equipped with everything we needed.
The house was clean and comfortable. The views from the dining room of the water were spectacular. We saw seals, eagles, and fish jumping right from the house. We even had a bear and a cub come through the property one evening, and a deer and doe another day. The host was very helpful, and she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.
We stayed 4 nights at this beautiful home on the water. The hosts were wonderful to work with and so accommodating. The home had everything we needed for our stay. I would highly recommend this home.
Breathtaking views right from the kitchen and dining room, wonderful little front yard just paradise, very clean and functional house amazing host would definitely be staying here again.

Such a beautiful property with a great view of the water/mountains. The hosts were so accompanying and were always readily available to help our family if we needed anything or had any questions. Would highly recommend
We had a wonderful stay. The weather couldn't have been better, I guess we lucked out there. Peggy was the nicest and so helpful in our attempts to catch fish and crab. She even made us homemade bread! Hope to return soon!
Beautiful little house and gorgeous location. We spent the mornings and evenings watching the seals, whales, and fish out back and were literally a short walk from a great place to view the bears. Wonderful, friendly hosts too! Perfect distance from town and dining too. Outside the business but not too far at all. I ’d highly recommend this place!
We had the best experience possible with our VRBO. The owners were very pleasant and really went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy. The amount of wildlife we viewed at this property was amazing. It truly was hard not to mesmerized with this view! We will be back again and highly recommend this listing.
Great 4 bdrm home on the water south of town. Spectacular views, lots of wildlife, we even saw a black bear. There is a creek that empties into the ocean and lots of jumpers can be seen trying to make their way up it. Residents in the cove do their daily fishing from the beach at low tide. Kids had a blast catching tiny crabs. Peggy, owner and host is wonderful. She came for dinner and snacks with us a couple of nights. Best vacation ever.
This is the perfect property for a stay in Ketchikan! It has such a beautiful view from the kitchen that never gets old. It’s a very clean and comfortable house that has everything you need. The hosts were out of town during our stay in March, but sister Liz was there for us. Wonderful people and always available if needed. I can highly recommend this home for either a couple or larger family!
Came up to go fishing and we were very lucky to be able to stay at this super clean house with amazing Alaskan views of the water and mountains. Spent hours Watching the eagles and bears on the back lawn area. The house has lots of room and sleeping arrangements. Peggy was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. We will definitely be coming back
Incredibly beautiful Herring Cove. Eight and one half mile south of Ketchikan. Right on the water. We caught salmon, had a bear amble through the yard at twilight. Saw a
humpback whale breach over and over. Caught huge , delicious Dungeness crab. What a fantastic week and for our family the perfect walk down memory lane. Fifty years ago we lived here
Our first time in Alaska and it was awesome! Owners made it feel much more like we were visiting family vs “staying in a rental”. Don’t have enough good things to say about how accommodating and welcoming Peggy and Andy are! The guest house was more than enough space for 4 of us with beds going unused. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything from the essentials to a vacuum sealer to help us return home with our catch.
Location is fantastic, a few minutes out of town which was nice and right by the zip lining and rainforest center. Amazing views to wake up to everyday and fishing in AK is epic!
Absolute 5 stars all around!
Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!
Andy and Peggy's vacation rental was SO wonderful we were reluctant to leave. The house itself was very comfortable with a stellar view of the bay from the kitchen and dining room windows. Nice grassy backyard to sit in and watch the seals and bald eagles, along with the salmon that regularly leaped out of the water. Our group caught a large number of king salmon, and we had a full-sized freezer in the utility room at our disposal to pack them in, along with a great cleaning table set-up just outside of the Rauwolf's home. Peggy was a lovely host and resource to us, since it was our first time staying in this area. Very personable, and willing to help in any way. We would love to return with our adult children to have them experience this very amazing place. Highly recommend! :)
