Escape to our secluded mountain cabin, nestled amidst the Pike-San Isabel National Forest and experience breathtaking views of Crystal Peak. Set on 5 acres, this tranquil retreat offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, providing an ideal getaway for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Located just 20 minutes north of Divide, you'll have easy access to both serenity and local attractions.

The Space:

• Main Floor:

  • Bedrooms: 2 spacious bedrooms, each featuring a King-size Casper brand bed, Smart TV, and electric fireplace. The large master bedroom has high ceilings with beautiful skylights and a spiral staircase that takes you up to the spa room in the loft. We call the second bedroom on the main floor the view room, because of the stunning view of trees and mountains out the large west facing windows.

  • Bathrooms: 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bath, all pristine and well-appointed with fresh towels, robes and complimentary toiletries. The master bathroom is attached to the bedroom and includes a walk in shower, dual sinks, and toilet closet. The second full bathroom on this floor is located off the den room and includes a classic shower/tub combo and the laundry area. The half bath is next to the stairs that go down to the game room and has a toilet and sink.

  • Laundry Space: Stacked washer and dryer unit with small folding area and complementary detergent and dryer sheets.

  • Living Area: A cozy sitting room with a towering wood fireplace perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning mountain view.

  • Dining Room: A stylish dining area ideal for family meals or intimate dinners.

  • Kitchen: a chef’s delight, fully stocked with modern appliances, including a Kitchen-Aid mixer, crockpot, food processor, air fryer, blender, toaster, waffle maker, coffee maker, kettle and more. A wide array of spices and cooking essentials, making it feel like you are right at home.

  • Den/Family Room: Off the Kitchen is a living room with a wood burning fireplace and 72’’ Smart TV. Cozy up on the couch and watch a movie or play games on the large coffee table.

  • Balcony: Top balcony facing west out the back of the cabin with outdoor seating and a propane fire pit, perfect for taking in the fresh mountain air and scenic views.

  • Front Patio: Has an 8 person dining table, Blackstone flat top grill, and a 6 person hot tub off the front patio. 

• Loft Area:

  • Living Room: A bright and airy living room area equipped with a Smart TV and a Wii gaming system, providing additional entertainment options.

  • Workspace: A dedicated workspace if you must stay connected. Office chair, monitor and HDMI cable provided.

  • Spa Room: A serene spa room with a deep tub, tall ceilings, and a Smart TV, designed for ultimate relaxation.

• Lower Floor:

  • Bedrooms: 2 additional bedrooms, each featuring a king-size Casper brand bed, Smart TV, cozy reading nook, and electric fireplace.

  • Bathroom: 1 full bathroom with double sinks, separated toilet, a walk in shower and a luxurious jetted tub.

  • Game Room: A large game room with an arcade featuring over 1,000 games, shuffleboard table, and a variety of classic and new board games. There is also a wet bar with a sink and full size refrigerator, making it perfect for mixing up some drinks.

  • Back Lower Patio: has 4 rocking chairs to enjoy the forest and sunset.

  • Garage: 2 parking spaces in the 3 car garage perfect for keeping your car out of the weather.

• Hiking and Biking: Discover numerous trails at Mueller State Park, perfect for hiking and mountain biking.

• Fishing and Boating: Visit nearby reservoirs like Rampart and Eleven Mile for fishing, boating, and picnicking. Then Eleven Mile Canyon and Deckers for fly fishing.

• Scenic Drives: Take a scenic drive along the Gold Belt Tour National Scenic Byway, offering stunning views and historical sites.

• Horseback Riding: Experience horseback riding adventures at local stables and ranches.

• ATV and Jeep Trails: Bring your own or book a tour, the trails in the area will not disappoint. Head into Woodland Park if you are looking to rent or book a tour.

• Winter Sports: In the winter, enjoy activities like snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.

In addition to the above we are a 1.5hr drive to the top of Pikes Peak, 23 min to the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, 32 mins to Mueller State Park, 21min to Florissant Fossil Beds, 45 mins to Cripple Creek Casinos, 53 mins over to Rita the Rock Planter and so much more. A little over 2 hrs from Denver International Airport, about an hour from Colorado Springs Airport, 45 min drive from Colorado Springs, 30 min to Woodland Park, and 20 min from Divide.

Additional Information:

• Suitable for families, couples, reunions, girls trips, fishing trips, and more.

• If you have 8 adults plus children traveling with you please reach out, we can most likely accommodate your group still.

• Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 10 am. Early check-in can sometimes be accommodated upon request.

• An AWD/4WD vehicle is required to navigate the driveway during winter months due to snow. The driveway is fairly steep and has a tighter turn in it so we advise if you do not have an AWD/4WD vehicle to park at the top of the driveway.

• We have a snow removal company that plows the driveway if it snows over 2in.

• RV parking is not available on the property.

• No smoking of any kind allowed.

• We frequently have wildlife visit the Cabin at Sunset Grove.

• We do not have central air conditioning, it’s not commonly found in homes at this elevation (around 9,000ft). We do have a portable swamp cooler, but usually opening the windows and running the ceiling fans will keep the cabin cooler in July and August.

• In the winter months we have central heating in the cabin with 2 wood burning fireplaces and electric fireplaces in every room making it very cozy.

• Kid and baby friendly: toy chest, pack-n-play, kids cups/plates/silverware, baby chair that attaches to the table, baby gate. We have been told this is a great cabin for hind and seek.

• Accessibility to the main level: If you park in the upper parking spot there are 5 wide steps down to the front patio, then two steps up to the patio, and another two up to enter the cabin on the main floor. The master bathroom has a walk in shower. Happy to answer any questions about access if you want to reach out before you book.

• Live fires outside are strictly prohibited. We have a propane fire pit located on the upper back patio for your enjoyment, please use responsibly.
