What a gorgeous house! The host is very kind and welcoming. The house is lovely and large. It's in a perfect location, close to Charlottesville and wineries, and has everything you'd need! Would definitely recommend and will stay here when we return to the area in the future! The land is stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
This home was the perfect spot for our relaxing girls trip. The location is peaceful and beautiful. The house is large, comfortable, and well stocked. We visited several wineries and spent some time in Charlottesville. Our favorite part was just sitting on the porch with morning coffee and watching the deer as the sun set in the evening.
The house is perfect for a few guests or a family. Lee is a wonderful hostess and very easy to deal with. This is our second time staying here and it will be our go to house
This house and host were amazing. If you’re a person who likes history and writing, this is the place for you. The house is large, with amazing natural light. The porches are amazing. The house feels like a home that welcomes you in!! We are already planning another stay.
Right from check in Lee was so helpful with any questions. The house is so eclectic. Plenty of room, beautiful scenery, many wineries within 30 minute drive. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Lee for a wonderful stay
Big house with multiple rooms with a lot of space for a lot of people. Very close to Charlottesville area, including Shenandoah national Park and other hiking trails. Beautiful
We loved staying at this beautiful country home! We enjoyed the view of horses across the street and the uniqueness of the house. It fit our family and friends perfectly with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths.
We stayed in this beautiful Va farmhouse while in the area for a family reunion. It is perfectly located a short distance from Charlottesville. The porch is amazing and the home is lovingly furnished. All of the little touches were so appreciated! It was like stepping back in time. The clawfoot tub is fabulous. The newel post is beautiful and the chandeliers?? I can't say enough. This is not your average VRBO. There was plenty of space for the kids to run and we enjoyed watching the horses at the farm from across the street. It is very quiet with almost no light pollution and we enjoyed star gazing too! We give Lee and her farm house two thumbs way up!
This fourth of July family vacation was the first in many years as well as special as our your youngest son who joined the Marine Corp two years ago July 4th. He joined us unexpectedly as well as introduced us to his girlfriend (also a Marine). Wife was surprised and pleased. My oldest son also joined and introduced his partner to the family mob. So, with nine adults in the house and one grandchild this house was perfect for us. This house is amazing. Owner leaves her personal touch all over the house, it was wonderful. The game room was of course a big hit with the kids. Plenty of room outside as well for everyone to run around and play. Lots of room and we all got the best sleep do to the quietness of no one nearby. The view for sunset and sunrise were AWESOME. We are also there for a sick family member, so the house was only 20 minutes from Louisa where my family was. Highly recommend this home. You will not regret renting it. Owner was amazing.
Excellent stay beautiful property and Lee was very accommodating!

About the host
Hosted by Lee Knapp
I am a newly retired public school history teacher who has been hosting this house for a dozen years. I also run a small art business from my basement called grammarstuff dot com. I have three grown sons and two adorable grandsons.
Why they chose this property
This property is a dream. The view of the blue mountains across the street and the dozen or so horses never disappoints. Out back is a very quiet retreat where you can just relax and hear yourself think. It is also ten minutes from groceries and supplies and 25 minutes from fun Charlottesville and 40 from a huge shopping area west of Richmond. All highway driving. The best of all worlds.
What makes this property unique
My house is filled with very personal items I have inherited or collected over many years of "junque" shopping. It's a new house (2006) with all of the amenities, yet you feel like you are in a grandma's house, because you are! Because I am! The location is also great.
