Family Vacation

This was the last stop on a long road trip with the family. It was the perfect place to relax after a crazy week of running around. We spent two nights and enjoyed lounging on the deck after taking a dip. The property was clean, comfortable, & and had everything we needed to unwind.

A beautifully decorated perfect getaway!

In less than 2 hours, we drove from the DC area to this gorgeous property . Having our own freshwater swimming hole took this to the next level. We loved saying hi (and feeding) all the farm animals. We felt very comfortable having our dogs there. They’ve decorated the place so nice, with such care and style - even the bath towels were gorgeous. Ashleigh was very communicative and even remembered we were celebrating my birthday. We will be back!

A peaceful getaway

This cute silo house was perfect! The location is quite serene and the private pool is beautifully done! I wish I had gone at a warmer time to have been able to swim, but it was just as easy to simply enjoy the peaceful sound of the waterfall while relaxing on the porch hammocks that overlook the pool. Everything was clean and exactly like the pictures show. I loved the proximity of the barn yard neighbors and would enjoy their company while I ate my breakfast on the side porch. Ashleigh and her family were super personable and very welcoming! If I ever find myself in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to book here again :)

Grab your bag and go!

My family and I spent a wonderful 5 days at the silo. The property is fantastic! We had a blast swimming in the private natural pool everyday! Really appreciated the child life jackets available as well. The dock area can be gated to keep little ones off. The pool has a small waterfall, listening to the sound was relaxing. As if that wasn’t enough entertainment there is a fire pit and farm animals just a few steps away. The kids loved feeding the goats and sheep with food provided by the host Ashleigh. The beds are very comfortable and the inside is new and welcoming. Louisa is about 40 min to Charlottesville. We spent a day in Charlottesville and other days we went to a local winery and Grelen nursery.

We are claiming Lake Glen Haven as our favorite vacation spot! We spent two nights sleeping on the lake in a tugboat. It was very spacious and had everything we needed for our family of five. A very unique experience that we will not soon forget. My favorite part was waking up to ducks, fish, and turtles floating outside your window. Stargazing and sleeping in the captain's cabin was unbelievable. The two nights spent in the silo were magical. The pool is unlike anything I have ever seen. The house is absolutely gorgeous but then you remember how amazing the backyard area is and how there are farm animals literally footsteps away from your front door, some may even stop over to say hello. We thoroughly enjoyed the property whether it was exploring the trails, paddle boarding, feeding the animals, hanging out at the farm store playing air hockey, or building a campfire on our very own island. A late night kayak trip around the lake was one of the spookiest but equally coolest experiences ever! The hosts are very kind people who go above and beyond to make sure you have an incredible vacation. Top notch security on site in the form of the sweetest dog ever, Mabel. She will steal your heart with her gentle spirit. We will definitely be going back to Lake Glen Haven ASAP!!
