The air conditioning did not cool the upstairs master bedroom even with the fan on. The hot water could not keep up with the demand even though it is tankless. The patio furniture is digusting, dirty and moldy, and uncomfortable. the fire pit is unnecessary in the summer heat. It would be nice to have a table and chairs in the front for meals and morning coffee. The skillets in the kitchen were terrible no nonstick was left. They need to be replaced. The location is great and attention to the details would make it worth the 6K for 5 nights.

Our family had a great stay! This property is well maintained and the communication with the property manager was excellent. Its central location allowed us to easily visit all the hot spots including La Jolla, Legoland, and the Zoo while being able to enjoy the beach on a daily basis.

We stayed at this same home a year ago for my 49th birthday. At the time I remembered thinking it was time to update the throw pillows in the living room, the outside furniture and that the beach chairs and umbrella were horrible. The umbrella was missing the point at the bottom so it's impossible to get it secured in the sand. The beach chairs are so rusted and dirty you don't want to touch them. The head pads are black from other peoples heads.ALL of those items besides the patio furniture were still there. I know staying at a rental means sharing household items but some new throw pillows and beach chairs would love made a difference. Especially for almost 6k for 5 days. The layout of the bedrooms is great! The master bedroom on the top floor gets barely any ac. The fan barely works. The shower in the master bathroom puts out hot water if you turn the sink on. Although, once you figure out the water it's a really nice shower. Great water pressure. The living room furniture is not set up for people who might want to watch a movie together. Only 2 people can see the tv if they sit in the exact right position. 1 person on the couch and one person in the sitting chair closest to front door. It's very clean and roomy. 30 seconds to the beach! I really do enjoy staying here. Just bring your own beach stuff, a fan and be prepared to lay on the floor for movie nights.
