Christian was very welcoming. The house was clean and comfortable and very roomy. The house is off a busy street and the noise of traffic can be heard inside. But other than that we were very happy with the house.

Great 3-bedroom apartment

The apartment is the first floor of a 2-sorry house. It was very clean and well-lit, and had everything we needed. Beds were quite comfortable. Shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water for all of us. Upstairs occupants were very quiet. Having a dedicated parking space was wonderful, as we rented a car. Uber and Lyft rides were easy to schedule also, always someone nearby. Public transportation would be tricky. The neighborhood felt safe and we found several good local restaurants in easy walking distance. The property is on the corner of a busy road, so light sleepers may want to bring ear plugs. The renter was in touch daily to be sure we were doing ok and see if we needed anything. We would choose to stay here again if we are in the area.

Some great Pros: House sleeps 8 (3 queen beds, 1 futon and 1 couch) Plenty of space to spread out Comfortable beds Very clean Grocery and Walmart nearby, Walmart can deliver Great shower with hair and body soaps provided A few restaurants nearby, walk is at least .5 mile Minor improvements needed: No bed linens or pillows provided for futon and couch except 1 blanket Kitchen has the very basics but could use a few more items if people actually want to cook We needed more prompt communication from the host. Basic travel info was provided but most of our specific pre-arrival questions went unanswered or weren’t answered for 2-3 days. **Travel to and from Manhattan** Host provided one option via bus 320 but the stop is almost a mile away and very expensive. It took us 3 days to really get it down but we found some good options within easier walking distance to the bus stop: To Manhattan Port Authority in the AM: Bus 127 Walk just up the hill 5 minutes to the bus stop on the corner of 37th and Bergen Turnpike right in front of the One Stop Deli and Grocery. From Port Authority in Manhattan to VRBO at night: Bus 154 shows last bus leaves Manhattan about 10:45 pm. Get off at the JFK and 36th street stop, quick 7 minute walk down the hill back to the VRBO. We learned quickly you have to push the ‘stop requested’ button just before the stop, so just follow your route on google maps as you travel.

Spacieux et propre

Beau séjour dans un appartement complètement rénové. Très propre, ça sentait bon à notre arrivée! Les chambres et lieux communs étaient vastes (les photos ne rendent pas justice) ce qui est surprenant dans les environs de New York! Bien équipé, sauf pour les couvertures et débarbouillettes (ceci a été mentionné, peut-être que des correctifs seront apportés). Les lits sont en mousse mémoire, de qualité acceptable, sans plus. Pour moi, c'était correct, mon conjoint a eu mal au dos. Le divan-lit est simple, correct pour un enfant. Un adulte au sommeil léger trouvera son séjour difficile... Un peu bruyant vu la proximité de la rue et de l'autoroute mais l'immeuble est calme. Marché et grosse épicerie a proximité. Nous sommes arrivés à 2 voitures. Seulement un stationnement pour les visiteurs. Le stationnement à proximité est disponible aisément et payable à la journée ou à la semaine. Or, impossible de payer à la borne extérieure pour le permis de 2 jours ou plus. Le paiement du permis hebdomadaire est compliqué en ligne et apparemment disponible seulement pour les résidents . Assurez vous de le faire à l"avance. Nous n'avons jamais réussi à obtenir de confirmation de transaction et heureusement nous avons pas été remorqués. Nous avons testé le transport en commun pour aller a New York. C'est compliqué. Le soir, les transferts ne sont pas synchronisés. Prévoyez un budget UBER. En somme, je recommanderais pour un gros groupe sur un budget limité.
