THIS FORMER HOME of cowboy and tough-guy actor Alan Ladd, who starred in “This Gun for Hire” and `Shane,` boasts movie-star quality throughout: gated entryway, vibrantly appointed, huge entertaining spaces, comfortable mid-century modern furniture, open layout, and dramatic views of the San Jacinto Mountains. Also noteworthy, this luxury quintessential mid-century Palm Springs estate was designed by the acclaimed architect Donald Wexler whose elegant and cool designs are humble and focused on the beauty of the natural surrounds.. This property boasts a beautiful pool and jacuzzi and is bright and minimalist allowing the sunlight to grab the spotlight and dance with the vibrant interior decor. So private and exclusive, this property was selected to be part of the very selective “2019 A Peek Behind the Hedges” Modernism Week Tour.
Marble makes a cameo in the dining room table and in the glistening master bath. Three of the five bedrooms feature their own en-suite bathroom providing the ultimate in privacy.
With 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers, and 2 ovens, Sub Zero refrigerator, the kitchen is not only “kosher ready” but ready for a formal dining experience or just a backyard BBQ. The kitchen is fully appointed with every cooking amenity and waiting for your engagement or get-together.
1. You must be at least 28 years of age to reserve any home with ModMansions. Guest must provide a copy of a
valid government issued photo id.
2. Your reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of a completed and signed rental agreement and a copy of
your valid government issued photo ID.
3. Parking: A maximum of 5 cars.
4. Check-in is between 4 pm - 6pm and check-out is 10 am.
5. All homes are non-smoking.
6. Exterior music of any level is prohibited 24/7 by the City of Palm Springs Vacation Rental
Ordinance and your signed rental agreement.
7. Our homes are for overnight accommodation only. No Parties or Events permitted
8. Dogs (2 dogs maximum) are welcome at our property with a $200 each non-refundable deposit.
9. The Pool is NOT heated.
However, please let reservations know if you would like to have the Pool heated.
Pool HEAT: Flat rate of $65 per night--two night minimum stay. Contact ModMansions at least 2 days prior to
arrival for this option. Pool is heated from 5am-9pm, to between 80° - 85° depending on exterior temps.
If property is listed as having a Jacuzzi, then Jacuzzi & Pool HEAT combined OR separate has a flat rate of $65 per night.
Swimming Pools :
Our pools are exclusively for humans, NEVER for dogs. Pet fur can wreak havoc on pool and spa filters, so please keep them out so you don`t incur charges. Instead, we invite them to enjoy the backyard from the grass or patio areas.
10. 3rd Party Vendors such as Chefs, Masseuses, etc., need to provide liability insurance certification. Please advise ModMansions.
11. CANCELLATION POLICY:
30 days prior to scheduled arrival date, you will receive a refund of any advance payments. 14 days prior to scheduled arrival date will receive a 50% refund.
Between 0 and 13 days prior to scheduled arrival, no refunds will be granted.
No refund will be given for early departures.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact ModMansions.
Special event weekends, holidays (Christmas/NYE/Thanksgiving/Coachella, etc.) & long-term rentals (stays 28 nights +) no refund will be given.
Should ModMansions re-rent the property for those specific dates, then ModMansions has the option of refunding the amount we were able to re-rent it for, up to the prepaid amount.
Rates:
Published rates are based on standard occupancy, do not include cleaning fees nor a combined 12.5% tax which includes City of Palm Springs room tax and a TBID Tax Assessment.
Payment Schedule:
An advance Deposit (50%) is due at the time of signing the contract with ModMansions. The balance is due 90 days prior to your arrival at the property. In complex long-term reservations, payment arrangements may be
made by contacting us.
Utilities - (stays of 28+ nights):
If staying in a home, with its own private pool, for 28 nights or more, the guest will be required to pay a utility deposit of $1,000.00 to $3,000.00 depending on the property. This deposit will be used to pay the actual monthly gas and electric bills and copies of the actual bills will be provided to the guest. Should the stay
exceed 28 nights and utilities used exceed the utility deposit, the guest agrees to pay an additional deposit to cover the remaining stay. This is not an additional income source for ModMansions
Additional Fees/Terms:
2-night minimum stay required. 3, 4, 5 nights required during In Season holiday dates and events.
Cleaning fee of $325.00 is added to rentals.
Per your ModMansions rental agreement,10:00 pm is `Quiet Time`. So, in order to ensure a most wonderful and enjoyable stay for you and your guests, please share and familiarize yourself with the above information.
Check Out Instructions:
1. Take out trash and place in containers provided at the property.
2. Dirty dishes? Pop in dishwasher, and push start. Don`t forget the dishwasher tablet provided.
3. Strip bed of sheets and pillow cases and place on floor at the end of each bed.
4 . Place dirty towels, etc. on the floor of laundry room area.
5. Left over food items? - Our housekeeping staff is happy to take home!
6. Please be sure to close windows, lock doors & place house key in outside lock box. Code to lockbox given at Check- In.
