Pet-Friendly
Bring your furry friends! We love hosting families and well-behaved dogs! For allergy and maintenance reasons, we’re unfortunately unable to host cats.
Please note: For the safety of all our guests and furry friends, Jefferson County requires that any pets brought to the property be up to date on their rabies vaccination.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
Whether you’re interested in hiking, history, fishing, or simply relaxing in a peaceful mountain setting, there’s something for everyone nearby offering a mix of outdoor activities, historical sites, and local charm! Here are some of our favorite points of interest:
1. Harpers Ferry Historic District (distance from house - 18 mins): Stroll through the Historic District, with its cobblestone streets, old brick buildings, and charming shops. The district is a step back in time, with preserved 19th-century architecture. The Harpers Ferry Train Station is also a noteworthy stop if you love history and old railways. Feeling adventurous? Harpers Ferry has a haunted past, and there are ghost tours available in the evenings. You can explore the darker side of the town's history, visiting old churches, graveyards, and other eerie spots.
2. Appalachian Trail (distance from house - 10 mins): Runs through Harpers Ferry, and the town is often considered the "psychological halfway point" for thru-hikers. If you're into hiking or nature walks, you can take a short hike to see breathtaking views of the Potomac River and the surrounding mountains.
3. Jefferson Rock (distance from house - 20 mins): Located within the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, Jefferson Rock is a scenic viewpoint named after Thomas Jefferson, who visited the area in 1783 and admired the view. It’s a short hike to the top, where you’ll get a fantastic view of the rivers and surrounding landscape.
4. Tour the Local Wineries & Breweries (distance from house - 20 mins): Home to a number of local wineries and breweries. Stop by Breaux Vineyards or The Harpers Ferry Brewing Company for a relaxing afternoon of wine tasting or craft beer sampling.
5. Catoctin Mountain Park (distance from house - 50 mins): A bit farther out, Catoctin Mountain Park offers great hiking opportunities with views of the surrounding landscape. It's a more rugged park with excellent trails for varying skill levels, including the Catoctin Mountain Trail and Blue Ridge Trail.
Harpers Ferry is a blend of adventure, entertainment, history, and nature. Whether you’re into hiking, kayaking, history, or betting on the slots, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in this beautiful, historic area.
We’d love to host you!

Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)
This home is in a stunning location. It is quite large, very clean & comfortable. We were on a girls trip & with 6 of us plus one dog, we had plenty of room & privacy. The top deck was our favorite spot & allowed us a gorgeous & peaceful view of the valley. Morning 2 we woke to a just after sunrise rainbow.

Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)
Spacious and clean, gorgeous cabin with an amazing view! The bathrooms and kitchen were well equipped with all that we needed. About 40 minutes from harpers ferry but didn’t have any need to leave the property!
The property was perfect for our family and pets. What a view. Well worth the drive up the mountain. Well stocked kitchen made our Thanksgiving a perfect affair.
Our wedding was nearby in Hillsboro and we wanted a place for our wedding party to be able to stay together, and this place was perfect for that. We loved being able to all stay together the night before and night after the wedding ceremony. Big house, great views into West Virginia. We also loved being able to relax in the hot tub. Thanks for a great time!
The house was truly amazing. It had everything our big group needed, easily accommodating multiple families with young kids. Really great layout with lots of wonderful communal spaces as well as places to sneak away for more solitude. Location was beautiful and the views from the deck are unbeatable. We'd return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
This mountain house is absolute beauty! It is beyond gorgeous. The view is spectacular, the sunset is breathtaking. You have a 180 degrees view of West VA. The house itself is stunning, plenty of rooms to move around with our group of 15. We enjoyed the jacuzzi while admiring the beautiful sunset. The kids had fun roasting marshmallows while Eagles are flying up above them. Thank you for sharing this Eagle’s Nest home. 😊
This house is absolutely beautiful! I'm top of that, it has incredible views. We had a large family gathering here, and my family had such a wonderful time - whether we were sitting together on the deck, eating around the large table, enjoying the hot tub, or sitting and talking in the living room on the large and comfortable couch, it all was amazing. The house is large and cozy, and we were able to relax. We also had a fun time going into Harper's Ferry, visiting the local shops, and going all the way up the trail.
Also, the host was incredibly kind and polite, and made the whole reservation such a great experience!!!
Our family now has wonderful memories from our time together, and we would definitely go back!
Stunning views from entire home. Peaceful! Loved cooking breakfast in the kitchen coffee on all levels was a cool touch even though there was only two of us so we only used the kitchen pot just to not dirty anything for no extra reason. If you are staying with extended family wow you would love this! there are so many spaces to have your own space, tv, coffee, outdoor space. Just absolutely beautiful. the tv in lowest level looked so amazing with details surrounding and background lighting. the bathroom were all my dream bathrooms! the showers were just amazing!!!

About the host
Hosted by Blue Maple
I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
What makes this property unique
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Eagle's Landing in particular. We love how cozy our place is and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
