We had a excellent stay everything was perfect the property was clean inside and out you have plenty of parking it was quiet close to the trail heads it's was GREAT !!! We will be back
Host was great with communication. Let us park at 11am and ride until check-in time. Listing was as described. Beds were very comfortable. Close to trails. Great place to stay for trail riders.
Great location to access buffalo mountain trails and devil anse. There’s trails less than a mile down the street. The place had everything we needed. We had 6 guys sleep comfortable.
Property was as described. Added benefit to have towels and sheets included. Host was very helpful leading up to stay and checked in on us during the stay. Proximity to trails was great! Would stay here again
Communication with the property manager was great. I always got a response. The location was exactly where we wanted to stay. The beds are extremely comfortable and provided an awesome night of rest.
The house was clean and roomy. The bed was comfortable. The neighborhood is somewhat rough, but the property offers plenty of privacy. You can ride ATV from house to trail, which is just down the road. Great trails. Enjoyed Trailhead Bar and Grill in Matewan. Enjoyed our stay.
Excellent location, plenty of parking for two trucks with two large trailers. Super easy access to many different trails. FYI if you book here, there is a gas station in Matewan that does not show up on google. It is by the Family Dollar just past the Matewan Trailhead Bar and Grill. Easy access to it off of trail 21. We found it by accident. Neighborhood dog was a nice treat, she always came over to greet us when we got back from riding! We will definitely be booking here again.
Very happy with the house. It was VERY clean and well kept. The passwords all worked for entry and for the internet. I know it sounds stupid but it was important for us. The location is very nice and there is a good amount of privacy. The trails are literally down the road, in fact, you pass them both on your way into the property. We had a small problem with an electrical cord, it was addressed immediately. Great place all around. We are planning to stay there again in July, if that says something.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Overpriced
The house was not cleaned well at all there were hairs on the toilet sink and shower, very crusty nasty shower curtain, the hot and cold were reversed in the bathroom. Just makes you wonder if they even wash the beading. Also, we tried to use the heat the morning that we were leaving and it did not work.

Doug,
I am very sorry to hear you weren’t happy with our place. We always strive to provide the best customer service/ experience possible. Had we known the place wasn’t properly cleaned, we would have IMMEDIATELY sent the cleaner to the house to address any issues that were presented. Same goes for the heat, had we known, we would have gladly unlocked the thermostat. During the summer in that unit we lock the thermostat because we don’t have central air, however we do have central heat. So we lock it during the warmer months so that guests don’t try to use the unit for AC. A simple message or phone call would have had the heat going in minutes.
I really don’t appreciate the 2 star review given the fact that we never heard a word from you your entire stay. How would we know that there is any issues that needed to be addressed if they aren’t brought to our attention? Had you given us a chance, we could have and would have fixed any issue you had during your stay, and by doing so maybe you would have felt compelled to leave us better review, or at least included something about how you experienced issues up front but they were tended to promptly… Instead we assume everything is good since we don’t hear from you and then receive a bad review. Reviews are critical to what we do, and if you look at any of our properties you will find mostly all positive reviews. In the event that we receive a bad review we always try to grow and improve to make sure that future guests don’t have the same experience. Your review could have been better had you given us an opportunity to address any issues but unfortunately we weren’t given that chance. Again, sorry you weren’t happy with our place.
