Beautiful cabin and everything we expected for a great family getaway. Sunset views were spectacular and our Hosts could not have been nicer or more accommodating
Great place, open space (both inside and out) for entertainment and enjoying friends and family. Love the location, 30 mins from Asheville and access to lots of hiking and outdoor opportunities. Would definitely return. If you go, a must do is the hike to the top of Big Bald Mountain, right on the Appalachian Trail, absolutely stunning vistas!
I cannot give this hostess and home enough stars! Our girls group(5) rented this home for our annual girls trip. The home is spacious, well maintained, perfect for large groups and has beautiful views. The hostess was welcoming and great about responding to all our questions. You can I’ll be glad you rented this home!
The cabin was exactly as described and full of amenities. Communication was great with the owner. The views were amazing with the hot tub and deck facing west, the sunsets were unbelievable!
Great house. The outdoor porch was amazing. Plenty of space for our large group. Great communication with the owners. Will be definitely be renting here again.
This was the most well stocked cabin we have stayed out. Top notch kitchen appliances. The beds were very comfortable. The few times we needed the owners they answered our question quickly. The views were great, and you cannot beat the outdoor fireplace. Thanks for a great vacation.
Nice cabin. Great remote location. Issue with air conditioner but resolved in a timely manner.

Our goal is to provide a 10 out of 10 experience with all of our guests. There was an issue with the thermastat at our cabin. The issue was resolved the very next day. It was a simple and quick fix since we our unit is only a year old and still under warranty. As with any home, issues will come up. As a host, we always make sure those issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
Everything was just excellent. It was four good friends that loved the views, close to Appalachian Trail, national story telling meeting, and outside fireplace with lights was our favorite. Great kitchen and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us.the communication with owners was exceptional. Thank you.
We stayed here for 6 days with our 3 daughters and their families. The home is very comfortable and well provisioned. The owners checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed too. Beautiful view off the back porch, fantastic home for large family gatherings. Highly recommend Wolf Moon Lodge.
Wolf Moon lodge was a spectacular cabin with mesmerizing panoramic views. Stacy was a very accommodating and communicative host. The decor and furnishings were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the covered outdoor fire place and conversation area. I would highly recommend staying there for your next family vacation.
This house! Amazing!!! Very spacious, views are spectacular!!! We cook when we go on vacation and the cabin was so well appointed, we needed for nothing! The cabin was super clean. We spent a day in Johnson City and another in Mars Hill/Marshall areas. Don’t skip Marshall. You’ll want to support this city as they are rebuilding after Helene hit them hard. Stacey and Ruth are amazing and so easy to work with as well! We had a great time! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven!!
This gorgeous log home was clean with comfortable beds, with plenty of room for our family. The back porch with the wood fireplace was the gathering place in the evening, and by far the greatest feature! We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back. The mountain and sunset view from the back deck was breathtaking! Communication with the hostess was perfect!
We had a terrific stay and everything was great at Wolf Moon Lodge!! We brought a group of 7 to ski at Hatley Pointe and celebrate our 25th anniversary!! The house was perfect and we got to enjoy snow and beautiful sunsets from while there. We will certainly look at staying again in the future!!
The cabin was beautiful. The host(s) are extremely helpful and very responsive. The only reason why I gave 4 starts is because there were some things missing, that we had to go out and obtain - lysol/disinfectant spray to clean off counters, oven, sink, etc. They only provided two paper towels, cheaper ones, therefore they were used within the first 36 hours (i am a very clean person). In addition, there should have been some sort of warnng on the amount of hot water there is. it was 7 people staying there, and we found out real quick that although there are many bathrooms, not everyone can shower at the same time. Most had to take cold showers the first night we arrived. But other than that, we loved this cabin and would definitely return.

Thank you for your stay and for taking the time to share your feedback. Regarding supplies, the cabin is stocked with four full rolls of paper towels at the start of each stay. I did reach out to our cleaning crew to make sure they are leaving the extras under the sinks. We do not normally supply lysol, but that is a great suggestion. Honestly, we hadn't even thought about it since our cleaning crew does a thorough job of sanitizing and cleaning off counters. As for hot water, the home is equipped with a 100-gallon gas water heater designed to support all five bathrooms and we have it serviced annually. Under normal use, it comfortably meets demand, though simultaneous long showers may impact availability temporarily. We have not previously received concerns in this area, but we appreciate the feedback.
We truly value guest communication during the stay, as it allows us to resolve any issues quickly and ensure a 10/10 experience. Thank you again for visiting, and we wish you all the best in the new year.
This property is absolutely gorgeous with amazing mountain views! Hiking right outside the cabin and plenty of leisure amenities. Greatly enjoyed our stay!

About the host

I have lived in the state of Florida for almost 25 years and have been happily marriage for over 20 years. In order to escape the heat and humidity during the summer, we have been vacationing in the North Carolina Mountains. Needless to say, we fell in love with the Asheville area. Our goal for the past 15 years has been to have a log cabin of our own. We saved and saved and searched and searched. We are super excited to finally own the cabin of our dreams! However, we are currently taking care of an elderly parent which limits are time to enjoy it. So we decided to open it up for Short term rentals to help offset the costs of owning a cabin. Now our future goal will be to be up there in the summer and holidays, but until then......Enjoy!!
Why they chose this property
Wow! Where do I start? Our favorite has to be the unbelievably long range, year around, multiply layer view of Blue Ridge mountains. Almost every room in the house has a view....even the basement level. The sunsets are truly amazing! We also love the peaceful and quiet setting of being secluded yet only 35-40 minutes to Asheville. The hot tub is perfect for relaxing on cool summer nights or warming up on cold winter nights. Sitting by the fire reading a book or just sipping coffee in the morning.
What makes this property unique
Location*Location* Location* Sitting above 4,000 ft elevation not only offers you cooler temperatures in the summer but also helps deter the flying insects. Easy access to Asheville as well as neighboring towns. WNC has so much to do from hiking, biking, white water rafting, zip-lining, hot springs/spa, dining, shopping, and snow skiing. The cathedral ceilings, french doors, and windows galore open up the entire back side of the cabin for taking in the fresh mountain air and taking in the distant views of the Blue Ridge mountain ranges!!! Wolf Moon offers a large covered pavilion with unbelievable 180 degree views! Enjoy rain or shine the use of Weber grill, wood burning fireplace, and outdoor dining table for 6.
