Beautiful waterfront home on Lake Sokokis. Enjoy private dock, kayaks, and canoe

This newly renovated home is the perfect juxtaposition of clean and modern style inside with rustic lake living right outdoors.

Enjoy a relaxing family getaway, a romantic couples vacation or a fun time with friends. The three bedrooms are outfitted with a king sized bed and 2 queens. The living areas also offer 2 pull-out sofas to sleep a total of 10 guests.

The house is nestled in a pine forest with views of the lake from both sides of the house. A personal fire pit and picnic table is right across from the house, offering a perfect way to unwind after a day on the lake. The lake itself offers plenty of fun for the day, from swimming and boating (canoe, kayaks, floats and a paddleboat come included in the rental price) to fishing and catching frogs and turtles (a personal favorite for our children). Your own private beach and dock is mere steps from the house, making it easy to pop up to the house for lunch and then right back to the beach for more time on the water.

For foodies, Portland is a mere 45 minutes away with amazing dining options. Or, enjoy cooking at home in the brand new kitchen. And don't forget the on-the-lake donut shop for the mornings and seafood shack/ice cream parlor for afternoons/evenings, giving you a nice reward at the end of your canoe trips.

The house offers two separate living areas, perfect for relaxing with a movie, tackling a puzzle or trying out a new video game.

Limerick offers a plethora of fun activities including a frisbee golf course, hiking and snowmobiling trails, and a nearby orchard with berry, peach and apple picking throughout the summer and fall. It's also a short drive to Old Orchard Beach and in the winter, you can be on the slopes at King Pine within 30 minutes.

This lake house is beautiful! It was so clean and spacious. It was exactly what we were looking for during our 4 night family getaway. Huge refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer were so convenient. The weather was warm and sunny, so we spent most of the days on the lake.We will definitely book here again!

Excellent communication! Clean, comfortable stay. Kitchen well stocked. We traveled for Thanksgiving at the last minute, and had everything we needed to warm up a catered meal. The kids enjoyed the waters edge, despite the cold. Looking forward to coming back to this location in warmer months when we can truly use all the ammenitjes. Property was exactly as described and presented in the photos.

Great property, you could tell it was recently remodeled. Everything was very clean and well maintenance. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us to stay. We greatly enjoyed the lake and outdoor area, including the kayaks!

Fantastic Lake Retreat

Spent a great long weekend here. House is very well appointed, clean, and quiet. Loved the dock, fire pit, grill, canoe, and kayaks. Paddling across a short section of lake to get doughnuts and breakfast sandwiches is not a bad way to start the day! We did not want to leave.

The perfect family retreat!

The Hosts:R and A were so friendly and quickly to answer messages or give us a call when we needed help/had questions. I don't recall having nicer hosts! The Home: The home is beautifully renovated and stocked with all the essentials for cooking and bathing. There was plenty of towels, soaps, cooking utensils. The Lake:We had an amazing time sitting on the private dock. There was a paddle boat, and two canoes and more! Everything was easy access and use. We had a lot of fun swimming and playing in the lake!

This rental was clean, spacious, and a wonderful place to stay. The owners were fast to respond and provided quick feed back and suggestions of thing to do and visit in the area. All of which we made use of.We had one issue caused by a mistake on my part. It was unintentional, but it was a mistake nonetheless. The owners allowed us to adjust our departure, which they were not required to do, For that we are very grateful and highly recommend this property.Note, this property was initially slightly hard to find via Google, but worth the minor inconvenience when you arrive.

Great lake house getaway

Nice lake house vacation here with our adult kids and their partners. Place had pretty much everything you could want - canoe, kayaks, paddle boat, floats. Fishing and swimming with their private lakefront dock. Easy in and out of the lake. Most everything in the house seemed pretty new - all appliances worked well, great washer and dryer. Good wifi, so one of our kids was able to work remotely from the lake house. Overall, would recommend.

While we raise our 4 children in a Boston suburb, Limerick is our family's "special place" and we spend as much time here as possible. When we're not in Limerick, you can likely find us coaching our children in soccer, basketball, wrestling or field hockey.

My husband has been spending time at his family's house on Sokokis Lake his entire life and he introduced me to Limerick when we met more than 20 years ago. We've happily hosted friends and family at our place in Limerick and have even convinced a few other friends to buy houses on Sokokis as well. We're thrilled to now have the opportunity to share this slice of heaven with our guests.
