About this property
The Mckenzie House w/ sauna & outdoor shower
The McKenzie House sits on 2.5 private acres on the banks of the majestic McKenzie River.
A fly fisherman's paradise and cyclist's dream destination. Nestled on a pristine stretch of river with easy and safe water access. Enjoy the riverside hot tub, riverview sauna and outdoor shower. Dine on the deck and BBQ with friends or family.
An on-site fly shop dedicated to guests includes fly rods and waders free to use as well as flies and everything needed to fish for wild rainbow trout right in front of the house. On-site fly fishing lessons and guided drift boat fishing are also available at an extra cost, with advanced notice.
Peloton and exercise space with river view as well as dedicated bike storage and cleaning shed.
Three bedrooms and a bunk room with space to sprawl out:
-Master BR with king opens to the deck and river
-Two queen bedrooms
-Bunk room with two queen beds on bottom and two extra long twins on top
Two full bathrooms, one with shower and one with shower/tub. Additional outdoor shower.
The space incudes full private access to over 2 acres of property including hot tub, sauna, outdoor shower, fly shop, bike cleaning station, riverfront, large lawn, volleyball court and more.
There is a complementary sister space at the front end of the property called the Fern Cabin & Kitchen. This unique rental includes a tiny A-frame cabin and open-air kitchen and dining space with a giant redwood slab dining table. The whole thing is available both as a separate neighboring rental or as a wonderful add-on to The McKenzie House. If you have a large group or would enjoy outdoor cooking or dining, consider renting both spaces together. If you're interested in adding the Fern Cabin & Kitchen to your stay, just let us know!
Wander the property's woods, stroll the meadow, pick blackberries, play volleyball or horseshoes, make s'mores on the campfire, picnic under the towering trees, swing over the water, nap in the hammock.
Walking distance to McKenzie Station Restaurant and McKenzie General Store & Obsidian Grill, and just down the road from Loloma Lodge.
Plenty of parking on the property and easy access just off of McKenzie Hwy.
There is a $50 pet fee per stay for up to two pets, and a $50 extra guest fee per person per night for each guest beyond 8. Please let us know if you're interested in custom pricing for larger groups or additional pets.
Note to pet owners: The sprawling property is a paradise for dogs, but the property is not fully fenced so plan accordingly.
