About this property
Basecamp Cabin: RIVER . FISH . HIKE . RELAX
This tri-level cabin has plenty of room for a large group. It has 2 bedrooms on the main level, one on the lower level and one on the upper level. The kitchen is fully stocked. Includes a hot tub, two firepits, and all the adventure you could ask for!
Walk out and feel the crisp mountain air and hear the roar of the South Toe River as you plan your day.
If you enjoy fishing, catch some native trout on the South Toe River which is right outside the door! There are holes on the South Toe where you can catch 20"+ native brown and rainbow trout.
If you're a hiker, you're moments away from a dozen trail heads for all experience levels. Located 5 minutes away from Roaring Fork Falls Trailhead (perfect for the kids)! Enjoy a gorgeous hike with some amazing waterfall views. Or Crabtree Falls is another gorgeous view/hike 30 minutes away from the cabin!
Or maybe you like to hang back, start a fire, soak in the hot tub, check out the river, rest your legs a bit or throw dinner on the grill as the sun goes down. It's hard not to find what you need to re-charge at this cabin!
***Mandatory AWD / 4WD during winter snowy months!

About the host
Hosted by Wade Carlton

My dad and I always wanted to go in on a mountain cabin together. We finally found what we were looking for a few years ago. I'm a builder from Charlotte and he's as handy as they come. We've had a blast renovating and caring for the cabin, getting it ready to share with friends and travelers.
We wanted to give the cabin a name that best describes what it feels like to be at the house. Because whether you spent a long day hiking mountains, chasing waterfalls or landing those native rainbow trout, make sure everyone meets back at Basecamp for a drink and a debrief!

Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is extremely quiet and some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is close to the river and many trailheads around the area and it's one of the very few houses that can sleep 12 guests.
