We were in Ironton for a mtb race at Shepard Mountain. This was a great location, spacious house for our group. Everything was very clean and the hosts were quick with responses.
The place was excellent for us. It was clean, and had a nice combination of indoor and outdoor spaces. When we did have any questions, Tina was very fast to respond.
House was great! Beautiful older home that has been updated. Loved sitting on the patio under the trees. Restaurant recommendations were excellent. Perfect location for wandering the nearby parks.
A hidden gem! We stayed two nights and loved it. Wonderfully equipped kitchen. Comfy beds, fluffy towels, and all the best quirky parts of an great old house! (Also the porch is perfect for morning coffee) We loved it!
The house was clean and very comfortable. We ate BBQ at a local restaurant, Bailey Joe's. It was really good. We participated as volunteers for the Missouri Whitewater Championships nearby. It was a great weekend.

Adorable house with everyone you need provided! Super clean and the beds were very comfy. Will stay here again on our next trip to the area.
Sutton House is beautiful, clean, spacious, and well stocked. The owners, Tina and Bob, are kind and generous. Ironton is walkable and filled with Sears bungalows, interesting shops, Checos Mexican restaurant, and Arcadia Coffee Shop. There is a Civil War plaque and history on the Courthouse Square and at Pilot's Knob. The hiking and state parks (Elephant Rock, Taum Sauk, Hawn, the Scour, Johnson Shut-Ins) are scenic and well-marked. We enjoyed the Spring like weather, the flowers and trees blooming, beautiful birds and butterflies. We enjoyed eating at Baylee Jos BBQ, Iron Horse, and Thee Abby Kitchen, all a short drive. A very enjoyable Spring break. Thank you!
Perfect location for all the nearby state parks. Bedrooms are generous sized areas so individuals could have some down-time in their own area if they wished. We loved it and would stay again.
No detail was missed. Beautiful place, games for the family, confortable beds, clean and everything you wouls think you can need. Tina is an amazing host and very attentive. Hope to make it to this space sometime again in the future!

Wonderful hospitality! Very clean. Elephant Rock State Park and Johnson’s Shut ins are close and amazing.
Beautiful Victorian, very well maintained, comfy, with tons of room. This house has it all. Hosts are very accommodating, friendly and attentive. Neighborhood has tons of history and you can’t beat the beautiful Arcadia Valley to destress and relax.
The Sutton house was an amazing place to stay. The host thought of almost everything. The house was very clean and check-in was super easy. The house was located perfectly for our trip to visit state parks we had not before visited. The communication was fantastic and Tina was so very nice. We most enjoyed the fire pit. It was incredibly relaxing to sit around after a long day of hiking.

About the host
Hosted by Tina
Bob and I were born and raised in Arcadia Valley. After 35 years of being away we decided to retire back home. We love to travel and spend time with our grandchildren and kids. Avid St Louis. Blues hockey fans. We love hosting and sharing our family home as a way to help finance our travel escapades.
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood off of the courthouse square is very quiet. It sits at the base of shepherd mountain.
What makes this property unique
Our home is one of the few traditional Victorians built in the early 1900’s. It was purchased in 1957 by my husband’s grandparents. We are happy to have been able to refurbish the home and offer it for other families to make memories as the Sutton family has for many decades.
