This cute, ground-floor Royal Oaks condo within walking distance of downtown Blowing Rock will be your favorite go-to lodging for affordable trips to Blowing Rock, to enjoy all the shopping, dining, and events Blowing Rock offers. This centrally-located, recently redecorated getaway, with only one step to enter, is walking distance to outdoor music at the Inn at Ragged Gardens, the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum, several coffee shops, churches, Art in the Park, the Thursday afternoon farmer's market, and much more! Check with the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce for dates, hours, and details. Charming Royal Refuge is the perfect home base for exploring everything local!



The condo has manufactured wood flooring throughout and comfy seating where you can rest and enjoy streaming movies or watching your favorite spectrum channels after a day in Blowing Rock or the surrounding mountains. There is an adjacent eating area and a full kitchen so you can cook and eat in if you wish. The kitchen has a range/oven, microwave, dishwasher, and full-size refrigerator. And the dining area has a mini-fridge to keep your beverages cool.  Not in the mood for cooking? Order a meal from DoorDash, Uber Eats, or other local delivery services. There is a cabinet with extra dishes and china in the dining area. 



You can also have your morning tea or coffee in the small patio area and enjoy the fresh mountain air. There is a round patio table with two chairs.



The condo has two queen bedrooms, two en-suite baths, closets, and cute, comfortable bedding and decor. The master has a dresser and a comfortable bench at the end of the bed for sitting or placing luggage.  The master bedroom has a medium, wall-mounted, Roku Smart TV. Linens and towels are provided. The guest bedroom has a small workspace and also a bench for luggage. There is no TV in the guest room, so just step into the living area and enjoy the big screen!



Good quality Spectrum Wi-Fi and a designated workspace make it possible for you to do some work from your home-away-from-home. 



Note:  The gas log fireplace is not usable at the current time.

President's Day Weekend 2024

My family and I had a great stay. This condo is located in such an incredible location within walking distance of downtown Blowing Rock and close to Moses Cone and other area attractions. We look forward to staying here again soon!

Good location and quiet peaceful condo, just the right amount of space for my mother and me. We had a couple of issues/questions on the first day, and the property management company was very responsive.

MisinformationDirections were wrong. No lock box. Rental agent two phone numbers disconnected.

The condo was not brand new and needed painting. The AC unit was like a motel so that the two bedrooms were never cool. Of course photos can be deceiving. The directions were wrong. There was not a lock box. Two of the office phone numbers given were disconnected. The emergency number was to someone not of the rental company. Blinds had to closed if one wanted privacy. The grounds were not attractive as at other similar places in Blowing Rock. Therefore, will not use VRBo again

I have checked the check-in instructions that we both email and text to our guests. The driving directions and emergency phone number are correct and the emergency phone is answered by our rental staff. We also provide a number that you can text if you need service and those texts also are addressed promptly. And our office at the corner of Sunset and Main is open Monday through Saturday 9-5 and Sunday afternoons 1 - 4. The AC unit is a wall unit that can easily be seen on the dining room wall in the photos. There is a keypad for access, not a lockbox, but think that this is of no consequence and actually provides easier access than a lockbox and key so I am uncertain why the lack of a lockbox would be an issue for anyone who books this property.
