Yes the living space is tight and camper is small but the outdoor space and view are awesome. Very private. Fishing was excellent from the kayak will be back next year!.

Perfect spot for my solo summer getaway. Amazingly peaceful, quiet & relaxing. My pups & I enjoyed every minute of our stay. It’s as private as it looks, but without being isolated. And the sunsets here are INCREDIBLE. No WiFi, but easy to use phone as hotspot. Small grocery store within 5 miles for supplies. Many parks and lots of things to do in Detroit Lakes, 15 min drive away. We will definitely be back!

The property itself is beautiful, with gorgeous lake views and a mostly private setting. We also appreciated the nice touch of having a campfire area with s’mores—it was a fun addition.That said, the camper was much more dated and rustic than we expected for the price. The toilet had a very strong odor, the bedding was extremely thin, and the linens were tired and needed replacement. Overall, the camper could use some attention and updating.We were also uncomfortable with the owner coming onto the property unannounced at times that were not listed on the information sheet. On one occasion, this interrupted our sleep and felt like an invasion of our privacy.This could be a wonderful stay for someone specifically looking for a very rustic camping experience and who primarily values the beautiful property and lake views. However, given the condition of the camper, linens, and the privacy concerns, we did not feel it was worth the price. The setting is definitely the highlight of this property.

Beautiful and relaxing vacation at this lakeside camper! The heat worked well for chilly nights, water/waste we’re taken care of daily, and firewood was well-stocked. We had a great time kayaking and paddle boarding, and felt cozy and cared for during our stay.

It was so quiet and peaceful and the host were wonderful right when we got there they had marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers to make s’mores and anytime we need help with anything they were there would definitely rent from them again

As others have said, this is an older camper and somewhat rustic. We chose not to drink the water so bought in gallons to drink. This is a no-frills stay. As someone suggested, we used mattresses from kids’ bunks to make bed more comfortable. Katrina was kind enough to lend me a hair dryer at my request. Lodging aside, the views were spectacular, the woods private, and the stay peaceful. Having coffee by the fire pit and watching eagles was the best. We were challenged to maneuver the boat and vehicle up and down the narrow, steep road but my husband managed to drive down backwards each time. We enjoyed our stay and only left one day early because the weather was just too hot for fishing. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful and Private

This was perfect for me, my husband and pup. We had dinner on the dock at sunset and enjoyed sitting by the fire. The place is a tad smaller than it looked in pictures but was still perfect for us!

A Little Gem in Frazee

The property is beautiful! Camper is a bit smaller than it looks online but it is comfortable. The host is very attentive to details and makes you feel very welcome. Would recommend for a couple and maybe 2 small kiddos, nice and quiet.

Enjoyed our stay. Had a beautiful view of the lake. Worked great for us because our kids & grandkids lived about a mile away. Didn't get to enjoy the lake but would have Loved too. Host was very nice & helpful.

Great Place

We loved it here! The camper is tiny but had everything we need. (Sidenotes: to shower, pull up on the wing nut! And the main bed was comfortable once we stacked the bunk bed’s mattresses on it.) Having our own access to the lake felt divine. And sitting around the firepit, day or night, was the best. We loved it here and hope to go back!

Our stay at Turtle Shores

We had such a wonderful time during our stay! Beautiful view, comfortable bed, well stocked camper, plenty of firewood. We loved taking the kayak out and my dog loved running around the property. There are neighbors but you can’t see them so we had privacy and peace. Quick and easy drive to town to get supplies. Couldn’t ask for much more in a little lake vacation. Hope to be back soon!

Great place!

What a great little place. It’s just as described. Great fishing from the dock and beautiful view. Kids had so much fun. Dog friendly which is a rare find. Owner stopped by every morning to fill water and replenish firewood. Very sweet man! We will definitely be back!

Perfect spot for nice getaway

This was the perfect location for a quite getaway i needed. The location is so relaxing and calm. The view from camper is breath taking. Your own private dock for a closer lake experience and fishing was amazing. Our host being like 2mins away was so convenient to address any questions we had. Really enjoyed it. Hopefully, when I'm ready for another getaway, this will be available.
