Perfect getaway!

It was everything and more, the host was super polite and everything was clean. The hot tub was to die for and I probably got the best sleep I did in a while!! Will come back again

Amazing Stay

The pictures don't do this charming property justice. It is lovely and clean, and includes fun extras like a waterfall shower and heated bathroom floor. Perfect for a short visit to see UCSD and dear friends in San Marcos.

This stay is a lovely couple’s retreat, though the description does overstate the privacy. Furnishings are comfortable and chic. The bed itself is soft and high-quality. The location is nestled in gorgeous mountains, and the hot tub was a lovely nightcap on each evening. Spaces were clean and pest-free, especially impressive given the desert location, and the owner was very communicative without being overbearing. That said, the unit is not its own “separate building” as stated in the description—it is directly attached to the main house with a door connecting the two. We were once able to hear the owners open a soda can on the other side. Other units on the property also have a direct view of this unit at all times, including the hot tub. All in all a solid pick, but if you’re expecting a freestanding cabin all to yourself, that’s not what this is.

Dear Erin , thank you for choosing Eagle Nest Casita for your Labor Day weekend ! Yes we do have additional units there , one of them Lavender Spartan is listed on VRBO platform but they are at least 300-500 feet away from casita . Casita IS a free standing unit and only connected with the main house via roof . The door with a vintage glass is leading to a breezeway and of course you may hear something especially our dogs ..Adobe walls are 18 inches thick but the door is not that bulky my apologies.. we will mention in a description one more time that guests will Be aware of main house not far and other units 300- 500 feet’s away . Thank you again !

Quiet and tranquil

I needed to be in downtown San Diego for business. I need a very quite and peaceful place to stay for 10 nights. This place as fantastic for my needs and close to great dining options. The only negative which really isn’t even a big deal is there was no TV which just made me enjoy the fire pit and jacuzzi.
