Autumn Serenity

Beautiful Beach House

We absolutely love visiting Michigan! We will definitely book this little gem in the future! Cute cottage with private beach access. Location is quiet with a perfect size yard, well equipped kitchen, and very clean. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful experience

My family was able to get away for a few days. All my family members expressed how they really enjoyed it. The house was clean, cimfortable and close enough to several attractions and towns that allowed us to experience many things. The private beach was beautiful.

We were in the area for an extended family visit. Pretty much used the house as a crash pad at night. It had everything we needed, and we loved that sunset point was within an easy walk. House was well stocked with basics and offered plenty of room for everyone. Communication with the host was excellent. Unfortunately, we arrived late at night and had to contact him. He responded immediately which was really appreciated. He also provided advanced recommendations of things to do and good restaurants in the area. It made us wish we could stay longer.

Nice vacation

Property was as described and very comfortable for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. The house is well set up to allow people to be together and also to have space for separate activities . Ray was very responsive to a plumbing issue that arose. Thanks for a great little vacation.

We had a wonderful stay in South Haven! The house was perfect for our family with plenty of space and rooms for us. 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is always a plus! Everything was clean and taken care of. The firepit and table in the back were great to sit around. The larger room upstairs does get a bit warm so bring a fan!The beach is a 2 mile walk across the street but only a 2 minute drive. The beach is a bit rocky but is very secluded and lots of space to play. The kids loved looking for rocks and swimming in the lake. The town of South Haven is about 10-12 min drive away. We would definitely recommend this home!

Awesome Location

Me and my girls absolutely loved our stay, the place was clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The location is secluded but there is a house directly next to you. The private beach was absolutely beautiful. No need to go anywhere else. I would definitely load up the car and drive because there is a very large hill you have to go down. We will definitely be back.

Overall the stay was great. The pictures on the vrbo page probably need to be updated. My daughter was really looking forward to hanging outside on the hammock and tree swing. Neither of those were there. The picture of the gated community makes you think you're staying in that community, but it was across the street. Also, there was no dishwasher. I just assumed there would be one.

Enjoyable Thanksgiving Holiday

We had a great thanksgiving weekend staying at the BlueHaven. The host was very accommodating and quickly responded with all our correspondence. The house floor plan allowed for 2 separate gathering areas which were ideal for the those who wanted to watch Christmas movies and those who were engrossed in the football games. The walk to the beach was a nice way to walk off the turkey, fixins’ and pumpkin pie. The house was as described, clean, and comfortable.I have added it to my list of possible future stays and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing get away no matter the time of the year.

Perfect for families. My kids loved the swing. It's an easy 10 minute drive into South Haven while also being close to Holland and Saugutauk. There’s also a wonderful Dutch Farmers Market nearby with a playground, ice cream, and baked goods.The private beach is nice but a little rocky. It's perfect for walks, rock collecting, and keepinga close eye on your kids while they play in the water. The lower level can be a little chilly if you are sensitive to temperature changes but there are plenty of blankets and the fireplace was nice. There were also plenty of things for our kids to do at the house. It was stocked with what we needed. The grill could use a deep clean, but otherwise, it was perfect for our family. For reference, family of 4, kids ages 9 & 5.We don't currently have a dog but the space was perfect for families traveling with one.

July Family Vacation

Stayed for 9 days in July with husband, young adult kids and dogs. We were a little apprehensive as the house changed owners shortly before our scheduled stay. The transition from first owner to current owner was a little clunky (may be a VRBO platform issue, not sure), but once we got past that, the stay itself was very nice. The house is clean and comfortable with lots of amenities and room to spread out, especially with two levels, and a lower level family/game room. The neighborhood is quiet, which is what we were looking for. Short drive to South Haven or Saugatuck.

Wonderful location in a super cute town.

I stayed here with my spouse and 4 of our adult friends and we had a wonderful time. We loved how spacious the house was and the beds were super comfy. The yard is pretty private with only one neighbor. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the ping pong table, although, to be honest we spent most of our time at the beach or on the town! The location was wonderful, although not quite as close to the beach as we originally thought, it was still within walking distance. The walk to the beach is very pleasant with lots of shade, but the last road is quite steep. The beach itself was grogeous and had very few people on it. We could have stayed there forever! Overall it was a great stay, with all the things we could ask for! We would 100% stay here again!

Why they chose this property

We picked this neighborhood because it’s quiet, comfortable, and close to the lake without feeling crowded. It’s a peaceful spot with lots of trees, open space, and a real sense of calm. It just feels like a good place to slow down and relax.

What we enjoy most is how easy it is to get to nearby towns like South Haven and Saugatuck. There are good places to eat, local shops to wander through, and plenty of things to see without going too far. But when you’re back at the house, it feels tucked away from all the noise.

It’s the kind of place where you can sit out back with a cup of coffee, listen to the birds, and just enjoy the day. Real easygoing and peaceful. Feels like home.

What makes our place unique is how calm and comfortable it feels from the moment you arrive. It’s not overdone or showy, just a well-kept, welcoming home where you can truly relax.

We’ve taken time to make sure the space is cozy and easy to settle into. The kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfortable, the Wi-Fi is strong, and the backyard is great for sitting out in the evening with a fire and some good company.

The location is another big plus. You’re close to Lake Michigan and not far from towns like South Haven and Saugatuck, but it still feels quiet and peaceful. It’s the kind of spot where you can enjoy nature, take things slow, and feel like you’re getting away from it all.
