This property provided a delightfully peaceful stay. The babbling stream added to the restfulness of the location. Many amenities. Kind amd thoughtful host.
Dana’s place was a perfect base camp for our trip to Shenandoah. Super easy access to go north or south in the park and a very peaceful environment during our downtime. We loved the outdoor fire pits and being able to listen to the stream at night made for such a lovely stay!
This beautiful home was the perfect place for our stay! It was so peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by nature. The creek was magical, and our dog Maverick has the best time playing in it. We loved relaxing here and exploring Shenandoah National Park during the day. This was the perfect getaway, and I’m so grateful for the entire experience. I’ll cherish these memories forever!
We spent the day hiking on Skyline drive and retreated to this lovely bungalow next to a babbling stream. After cooking dinner in the grill we sat and talked around the fire pit. We appreciated the farm fresh eggs and all the other comforts of home. If you are planning a trip to the park, this is where you want to stay!
The property is very close to the Swift Run Gap entrance of Shenandoah National Park. It's very clean and secure with plenty of linens and towels. Also many little extras provided that made it comfortable.
We had a wonderful stay. Not sure how the creek runs all year but in the spring the sound is amazing. Everything is there you will need for a very comfortable stay. If we are ever back in that part of the world we will certainly see if there is any availability.
We spent 4 days photographing the spring wildflowers in Shenandoah National Park. The house was conveniently located for us to drive to the park. We hiked in the mornings and visited a few wineries in the afternoon. Early Mountain and Glass House wineries are very close. Would definitely stay here again.
We had such a wonderful stay! This charming house was the perfect base for us as we explored Shenandoah NP and Monticello with our 2 dogs. The home itself is very comfortable and clean, and the property is lovely with the steam running alongside it. We even had the luck to watch a black bear cross through the backyard one morning! Would absolutely stay here again!
We stayed at this property and it was great. Had all the things we needed for our stay. Thank you so much. Will definitely be back when we come from Florida again
We much enjoyed spending Thanksgiving weekend in this cozy house. We brought our two dogs and we all had a fun time exploring the neighborhood and the beautiful Shenandoah.
Great location right beside a river and a short drive to Shenandoah National Park. My daughter and I stayed to go hiking in the park and this was perfect. A little hard to find the first time in the dark, but the house is warm and inviting and very comfortable with everything we needed.
Very clean, great yard for the dogs, and a gurgling brook along one side of the property. Outside there are three different areas with chairs and fire pits. It looks like Dana is a gardener and we look forward to returning in the spring to check it out. It was located only a mile from my daughter's house and so convenient.
Spent two nights here so we could explore the Park. The house had everything we needed. Wish the master bed was a queen or king. The creek gives great ambiance to the property. Real plus was allowing us to bring pets who throughly enjoyed their hikes in the NP!
Communication with host was fast and easy. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the host providing everything we needed. Everything was well stocked, even had lanterns and first aid kit available if needed. Would return!
