Secluded Mountain Retreat - Cozy Cabin on 8 Private Acres Near Shenandoah
The mountains are calling...and you must go! Escape to the serenity of the mountains to experience the magic of Virginia’s natural beauty and relax in our rustic cabin with modern comforts. Enjoy our ever-changing forest views from our large, sunny windows overlooking almost 8 private acres at the base of Saddleback Mountain. Reconnect with those you love and with nature in this open cabin, and recharge on the screened-in porch after a fun-filled or relaxing day. Stay inside and enjoy the peaceful views, head outside for fresh air, or adventure out to explore some of the fantastic outdoor and indoor activities nearby. Be sure to bring marshmallows to roast around the campfire at the end of the day.
Muir Intentions got its name as a play on words combining "pure intentions" with John Muir’s philosophy of connecting with, enjoying, and taking care of nature. We are happiest when we are one with nature, and our “intentions” when purchasing this cabin were to embrace the great outdoors and strengthen our connections with loved ones. We had "Muir Intentions" with this cabin, and we hope you enjoy nature here as much as we do.
We are detail oriented hosts who strive to make your stay enjoyable! We are established super hosts on another platform and look forward to getting started with VRBO to become premier hosts.

About the host
Hosted by Logan
We are an outdoor family with active kids! We absolutely love to hike, fish, and be together as a family enjoying nature. Our family enjoys disconnecting from the busy times in life and spending time together and want to share that with other people as well!
Why they chose this property
The area is peaceful, simple, and allowed us to feel grounded in nature listening to the animals and water nearby. It feels secluded, but is close to the Shenandoah National Park, the cute artsy town of Stanardsville, and the antiquing town of Ruckersville. It's near a golf course, wildlife management area, a stocked river, and breweries and wineries allowing for a multitude of experiences.
What makes this property unique
Nothing beats the feeling of togetherness in a secluded area with a campfire and s'mores or an indoor wood burning fire. Because there is no internet, it allows people to reconnect with the simple things in life as they slow down a bit in time with games, DVDs, and simple walks on the property.
